After Mike beat the simulator
 
Nobody else had got a 10 before on THAT simulator... Kayn was the only one who could fly a Valkyrie - the building of it took weeks on end and three starbugs, a looting of an alternate universe battleship and three weeks on the cloak (not to mention lots of practice kit-bashing the stuff together!).. Only Kayn knew how to fly that thing - even Jay, Efof - even Nick the last CNO couldn't dream of handling the thing...
 
Mike passed it without breaking a sweat
 
"Right computer... why did you let him fly a Valkyrie sim?"
"I didn't! He forced me too!"
"How could he force you to?"
"Lets see YOU try to say no to someone who has a screwdriver jammed inside you!"
"Ah...""And the thing was rusty too! My microchips might get infected!"
"Put the sim on..."
"You've got no compassion for me! I could die from an infected silicon leak"
"I'll put a virus checker on... now put the game on!"
 
Kayn played through Level 10 easily enough - he'd programmed the thing after all.
 
"OK Mr Smart ass Microchips... give Holly a message"
"What?"
"I want a new Valkyrie trainer... one that I'll have trouble passing... I want to see how good this Mike REALLY is...and send Mike a 'Landing 4 Dummies' instruction manual..."
"It might take a while...""Why?""Server's down again""Why the hell we use Yahoo! for a server is beyond me..."
