Up to old tricks
It had been a profitable night. Dirk had made over two hundred dollarpounds
with his guitar, and the money was still rolling in. "I'd like to dedicate this
one to all you gorgeous ladies out there."
He cleared his throat, strummed his guitar, and began to sing, "To all the
girl's I've loved before." It was an old trick he learned while still in high
school. Some girls loved the strong, macho guy; yet, others would just crumble
if you showed that you had a sensitive side, which is why he learned to play
guitar in the first place. "...I dedicate this song.. to all the girls I've
loved before..." It looked like it might be working. There were a few women
out there that seemed to be hanging onto every verse.
When the song was over, Dirk knew that he had to play another one along the same
lines. He had baited most of the girls with that song. He needed another to
reel them in, or he might loose them. "Thank you. Thank you, folks. Here's
another one you might like." He knodded to Owen, who turned down the lights on
him (women love it when something looks candle-light, makes it feel intimate.
"Yesterday. All my troubles seemed so far away..." 'Got'em!' Dirk thought to
himself.
OOC- ok, is there anyone in the bar who might like Dirk's singing, or who might
not. and watch it Mr. Dingles, Dirk goes by the "three strikes and you're out
rule."
