Back in business as the Blue Dwarf's busy hamster...

Where: In the corridor outside the Medi-bay.
When: Moments after being asked to come to the Captains office
Who: Commander White Wolf
The huge hamster checked his vest to see if he had his Vidman still
with him. For a few brief moments he didn't locate it, but was
instantly relieved when he doublechecked his right cheek pouch and
found it.
"Whew. For second there I thought I lost you." Muttered the overgrown
hamster, as he tucked the vidman back into his cheek pouch while
going over to communications panel and activating it.
The large hamster spoke into the COMM unit, "Commander White Wolf to
Captain Niples, I've just got back on board myself, sir. I'll be in
your office with my report right after I get cleaned up from being
mauled by Dumbo's mother, and ordering Mr. Harris to capture the
same. That is of course, if it's still within his capability of doing
so since he didn't seem to bother to come and rescue me off that
bloody mudball of a planet I was left on for 600 years. At least, I'd
like to *think* there was a good reason *why* he didn't rescue me -
such as him being in a body cast, in a coma, or something equally bad
along those lines. White Wolf, out."
The huge hamster toggled the COMM unit Off and then On
again, "Commander White Wolf to Security."
Mr. Jackson answered the COMM, "Commander White Wolf, It's good to
hear your back! What do you need the security department to do?"
"Thanks Tiny, I need you to do two things. First, post a guard detail
on Dr. Larry Trisees AKA Shakespeare to make sure he doesn't try to
escape the medi-bay until we get his unstable mental state sorted
out. You can station them next to the medi-bay's now missing doors."
"The medi-bay's doors are missing? What happened?", Inquired Mr.
Jackson with concern in his voice.
"That brings to my second item, you'll need to send a security detail
to capture the rampaging elephant that broke through them moments
ago. And I want you to capture the elephant alive, since their
supposed to be extinct."
Tiny responded, "So those reports weren't spurious pranks. We aren't
having a reoccurance of the Hullucinagenic plague again, are we?"
"No, Tiny, trust it's a real elephant alright. Mrs. Dumbo did a
smashing good job on my face, not mention nearly putting my lights
out permanently. She's a unwilling stow away from my somewhat botched
attempt at rescuing myself from the planet below, since Mr. Harris
didn't seem to be bringing in the calvary. By the way, Tiny, How is
old 'Nutter' anyway? Did some grievous injury keep him from picking
me up off that mudball below?"
Tiny sensed that something was amiss here, and replied, "No sir,
Major Harris seems absolutely fine. I'll send both security details
out right away. Was there anything else you wanted me to do, sir?"
"No, not right now, Tiny. White Wolf, Out.", Replied the huge hamster
shaking his head as he toggled the COMM unit off.
"This does not bode well...", Muttered the huge hamster to himself as
he scrambled towards the lift.

<Moments later, in Commander White Wolf's quarters>
The huge hamster, tossed his tattered vest into the closed and hooked
up his vidman to his desks computer, and turned the vidman on.
The image of Samantha Fox popped on the vidman's screen, and
exclaimed "WEEE, we're back home! What shall we do now honey?"
"While your recharging, I need to you upload a copy of all my
journals and reports into Holly. I might need to reference them when
I make my report to the Captain." Replied the huge hamster while
punching in order for a vegetarian vitamin shake, and grabbing up a
bath towel.
Holly appeared on a nearby wall monitor, and said
affectionately, "Oh, how I missed you while your were away..."
"Why, thank you Holly." called the huge hamster as he was walked into
the shower and turned it on.
"I wasn't talking about you, I was talking about her." Replied Holly
while turning to face towards the vidman and continuing, "How I
missed you Sam, your long absence makes me savor your beauty all the
more now that your back."
Sam frowned and responded, "But Holly, from your point of view, we've
only been gone a short time compared to our point of view of being
gone for over six hundred years."
"You forget, a mere week in real time is a few years in internet
time. But, Six hundred years, my poor darling, it must have been
torture for you being away from me so long. Let me soothe your pain,
with a nice candlelight dinner at Le régal de McKenzie."
Both Sam and the huge hamster yelled back in unison, "Stick a sock in
it, Holly."
"I'll be back, in case you want to go out when 'mister wet fur' isn't
around..." replied Holly towards Sam before he disappeared off the
monitor.
The huge hamster turned off the shower and stepped out into the room,
toweling his wet fur. He grabbed the vitamin shake from the dispenser
and chugged it down, and quickly pulled on a new vest from the closet.
"The upload is all down sweety.", called Sam.
"Good, do you think have you got enough charge to come along?"
inquired the large hamster as he walked over, settling the vest on
his shoulders and toweling the still wet spots of fur.
"Why, are you jealous that Holly might take me out?" replied Sam with
a excited look in her eyes.
"Umm, Sorry Sam, I actually just wanted to bring you along. You can
stay here of you want, you've put up with me for six hundred years
you know..."
"No, No, I want to come along, I'm nearly fully charged anyway."
replied Sam tossing her blonde hair on the screen.
"Alright, your sure?"
Sam nodded. Then White Wolf reached over, off the vidman,
disconnected it, and put the vidman into his vest pocket.
He paused, while he glanced at the unactivated Kryten duplicate in
the closet as if debating something, but then headed for door of his
quarters.

<Minutes later, Outside the Captains Office>
The huge hamster tapped the doorbuzzer.
"Come in." Called Niples from inside.
The huge hamster entered, walked up to the front of Captain Niples
desk, saluted smartly and said "Welcome back Captain. I know I'm not
the only one who missed your capabilty command, Sir. I do have quite
a tale to tell about what happened in your absence."
"I see reports there's been three deaths and gained one rampaging
elephant while I was out. I'm quite interested in hearing your side
of all of this."
"Yes Sir, it all started when the Blue Dwarf detected a distress
signal from an escape pod on the planet below..." Begin the huge
hamster, as he explains everything that happened, bringing Niples up
to date, on all the BD's adventures, including the STCP incident.
As the huge hamster finished, and Niples asked, "Did you give any
orders for Major Harris not take command of the Blue Dwarf, or not to
commence a search operation for you?"
"No, I did not give any such orders. And I know what your thinking. I
can't speak for Major Harris's dereliction of duty as acting first
officer and failing to start a search party as a commander of the
Dwarf while I was marooned on the planet, Seymour. The Major will
have to explain that to you himself. Though, I suspect he probably
knew about my whereabouts due to his involvement with the STCP. But,
that's all I know."
