Re: [JMC_Blue_Dwarf] No, it\'s really called Philosophy...
"So what do you think?" asked Zodar.
The response was more or less unanimous, that is was good. Except for Keto who just grunted.
Kayn had just stunned everyone with his guitar talents that even impresses Jay (who had played snce he was 5 and had won several awards and the like <so yes Kayn, Jay CAN play better than Lister>).
Keto of course added his two cents and was now ranting in the corner, blowing fluff out of his harmonica. Jay turned away from the moronic medic and turned back to the others.
"So, we've got your lyrics, but the rules say you've gotta play something too."
"Like what," asked Zodar.
"Well, remember I brought my own guitar in with me" Jay said "you could use that, unless you had a better idea?...."
Well Zodar do ya?

Zodar looked up quickly. He'd always thought his idea would be just an idea.
But now the group was looking to him.
"Cool..." he thought.
Jay couldn't wait any longer, "Have you got an idea or not, Chris? We need all the ti..."
Zodar lept out of his trance, "Yeah, it's a great idea too. Spectacular, Spectacular!*"
"Not that stupid musical about the penny-less sitar player... anyone else got an idea?"
"No, I was just describing it. It's called Philosophy." Zodar said confidently.
"Philosophy?" the group chorused.
"Philosophy." Zodar stated.
"Well aren't you going to give us the lyrics?" Said Tara.
"Yeah..." Zodar said and he produced a piece of paper.
"Whoa... it's like something from out of the ice age..." Tara said
The group huddled about the lyric sheet, it read:
PhilosophyBen Folds Five
Won't you look up at the skylineAt the mortar, block, and glassAnd check out the reflections in my eyesSee they always used to be thereEven when this all was grassAnd I sang and danced about a high-riseAnd you were laughing at my helmet hatLaughing at my torch
Go ahead you can laugh all you wantI got my philosophy (Keeps my feet on the ground)And I trust it like the groundThat's why my philosophy (My Phil!)Keeps me walking when I'm falling down (O-SO-PHY!) I see that there is evilAnd I know that there is goodAnd the in-betweens I never understoodWon't you look at me I'm crazyBut I get the job doneI'm crazy but I get the job done
I say go ahead and laugh all you wantI got my philosophy (Keeps my feet on the ground)And I trust it like the groundThat's why my philosophy (My Phil!)Keeps me walking when I'm falling down (O-SO-PHY!) I pushed you cause I loved you guysI didn't realizeThat you weren't having funAnd I dragged you up the stairsAnd I told you to flyYou were flapping your armsThen you started to cry, you were too highToo high....
Now you take this all for grantedYou take the mortar, block, and glassAnd you forget the speech that moved the stoneBut it's really not that you can't seeThe forest from the treesYou never been out in the woods alone
So you can laugh all you wantBut I've got my philosophy (Keeps my feet on the ground)And I love you you're my friendBut you got no philosophy (My Phil!)Now it's time for this song to end (O-SO-PHY!)
Zodar covered the Ben Folds Five with his thumb, but looked happy... "So, what do you think? There's room for backing singers and the piano part basically leads the song... Any thoughts? I had Tara in mind for lead vocalist, because it's about Phil."
