Task - Failed Or Won?

The group were sitting down in the lounge area waiting for the food Jay had requested to make. Just then, on a loud speaker, Big Bro announed 'To all housemates: You have not succesfully completed the task. You failed miserably.' They went into the storage room to find that Keto, Jay & Zack had failed. Owen, Kayn, Phil & Zodar only just passed. The girls passed beautifully.
The amount of money until the next task is 40 quid.
