"Yeah, I've got a problem with that!" Keto stood speechless. He couldn't
believe that anyone had challenged him, especially Dirk, who hadn't been in the
best condition as of late.
"Wha...what do you think you're doing? I'm in charge." Keto finally bellowed.
"I'm trying to save everyone's asses, that's what," Dirk responded while he
leaned on Kayn for support. "I've done that more than once for you on this
trip, Doc; and no one's gone out of their way to do it for me. Left out in the
damn jungle for three days to die. Hell of a team this is. Haven't any of you
heard of never leaving a man behind!" Everyone from the second away team moved
their glances to the ground. "Besides, you don't know what we're dealing with."
"And I suppose you do?" Keto snapped back.
"No. But I have a better idea than anyone else here." Dirk had Kayn lean him
up against a pillar. "Remember when I said that those beasts weren't from
around hear?" Some of them shook their heads. "Well, upon further
investigation, I was right. They're not indeginious to this jungle. As a
matter of fact, they're not indeginious to this planet."
Everyone began to mumble. "Well, Mr. Know-it-all, how did they get here then?"
Keto asked, trying to figure a way to bring this back to him being in charge.
"It's pretty obvious, isn't it?" No one spoke. "Hell, I was out of my mind
most of the time, but even I could tell that it has something to do with the
spandex queens that took Chrysler." He paused, then whispered into Kayn's ear,
"I didn't imagine that part, did I?" Kayn shook his head. "So, it did happen?"
Kayn nodded. "These spandex weirdos not only brought them here; but, now hold
on to your undies, they engineered them too."
"What!" was the consensus of the group.
"That's right. Those things were genetically engineered. Those DNA
combinations in those things just don't happen in nature. Someone has to help
it along. With their instant transportations in and out with Chrysler along
with those monsters, it would be safe to say that we're dealing with an
extremely advanced race. From what they said, I'm pretty sure that this whole
planet is just some kind of experiment to them. Introducing the creatures, and
possibly even the humaniod life-forms, though I'm not sure, it's just a guess.
But it is apparent that they are testing the tribe people's advancement by that
can up there. They got pissed because we interferred and corrupted their data."
"Their test?" DJ asked. "Do you mean that they're waiting for the tribe to
invent the can opener?"
"In a word, yes."
"What about White Wolf?" Kayn asked. "Did they take him too?"
"I don't think so. The portal that took him and the Richards left a different
signature. It was temporal."
"Temporal? Great! Genetically engineered monsters, primative knuckleheads
woshiping a tin can, highly advanced scientific race of beings who wear spandex,
and a time traveling hamster! Let's face it! You just can't make shit like
this up!" Kayn through his arms into the air.
"Well, we still need to find the rest of the party," Keto growled after a brief
silence.
"True, but we've already lost a captain, the security cheif, three security
officers (two of which are dead), a medical doctor, pilot, and two civilians.
I'd have to say that the best thing is for us to stick together. No need in
losing anymore."
OOC- anyone else want to take it from there?
