Funeral wrap up...
> Cubie stepped in front of the camera, blushing
> slightly. "Please forgive Zack. He's never been
> good at funerals."
> She continued. "I didn't really know Christine
> well, but I did get to practice and perform the play
> with her. She was a wonderful person, and in the
> brief time that I knew her, I found her to be a
> warm and caring person with a subtle sense of humor.
> She will be missed."
The colossal hamster continued to hold the camera up for several
moments as silence decended upon the presentation. The Overgrown
hamster frowned slightly as it became apparant neither Major Harris
nor anyone else on the security wanted to step up and do a eulogy for
Doom Harbinger or Drusilla Belladonna.
The enormous hamster distractedly looked around for somewhere to set
the camera and he finally decided to hand the camera to Dr. Trisees
(Shakespeare) who was standing nearby, and step in front of the
camera's viewing angle. He momentarily patted his vest pockets and
then finding what he was looking for and pulled it out, it was a copy
of the Jmc's "Starship Captain's handbook".
The hamster opened it, looked at the index for a second and then
began flipping through some pages, and seemingly finding the place he
was looking for, he took a deep breath as if to start solemnly
reading from the book and then exclaimed with surprise, "What the
Smegg?!? This can't be right... The JMC requests that our Captains
not show any feelings of any sort as it disturbs the crew decorum.
And as such, there is no section available for the topic concerning
the death of your crewmates, if a dead crewmate is critical to the
functioning of your ship, please refer to our section entitled 'So
you want to bring back a crewmate as a hologram?'"
He paused while flipping through the book some more, and then
suddenly threw the book over his shoulder, muttering
disgustedly "What a useless book, no wonder the Captain went out for
additional training!"
The gargantuan hamster harumphed and then said in a louder
voice, "Regardless of what everyone else thinks or wants me to say,
I'm going to say something none the less." He paused, and then
continued, "Talking about someone who has died, is something I hope
myself, nor anyone else on the Blue Dwarf ever becomes used to
doing. As acting Captain, I would like to commend Doom Harbinger and
Drusilla Belladonna for their actions, even though unfortunately it's
post humourously. For they acted bravely in the face of danger, They
willingly gave their lives while performing thier duty as security
officers. No commander could ask for more from his or her own crew
than that. And I'm sure some of you will say that there's no greater
honor for a warrior than to die while in battle, *especially* while
defending people they cared for. Which I'm sure they both did,
because I doubt they would have done what they had done if they
hadn't. I'm sure all of us cared for them somewhat, and we each shall
mourn their passing in our own ways. Whether it's by shedding tears,
or by feeling guilty, or by trying to make sure a tragedy like this
never happens again. Whatever way you choose, Let us express it
during a moment of silence in their honor..."
The huge hamster bowed his head, and in a couple of minutes, Mr.
Sirus whispered over the communications link, "I'm sorry sir, but we
only a few more minutes before we're out of communication range
again."
White Wolf nodded his head, and replied quietly, "That's all right,
Mr. Sirus, I think the funeral services are complete anyways. Let's
call it a night, everyone. Let's get some rest, and see how this
place looks bright and early tommorrow morning."

OOC - I hope no one minds... I thought we needed something else.
FYI - Our next action post should be ready going up later this
evening, and after I finish replying to a few peoples emails, (don't
worry folks, I will try to answer each of them!), I will go back and
put the finishing touchs on it before posting it.
