Where: Planetside
When: Evening About 16:32 hours or Just minutes after attempting to
report to Harris the discovery of the Bootprints.
Who: Away Team #1
After looking at the Bootprints again, White Wolf lifted his
communicator and spoke again, "Hamster 1 to Sierra Papa... Do you
read. Over?"
"Hello Hamster 1, I read *Ktttsssshh*"
"Sierra Papa, your signal is breaking up, Boost your gain. Over."
"Hamster 1, We've tried to *Ktttsssshh* I've got *Ktttsssshh* maybe
*Ktttsssshh* are you *Ktttsssshh*"
"Sierra Papa, I repeat your breaking up. If you can hear me, please
contact Harris 1. Find out if their in trouble, their last
transmission sounded like they might be under attack. I'll try to
make another radio contact with you at 2100 hours. Hamster 1 out."
The Huge Hamster shook his head while he put away his communicator,
and then reached out his paw to help Zack Richards stand up, while
asking Zack quietly, "Should I even bother asking if you mind telling
me where you got that bootprint on your forehead Zack? I know Mr.
Harris can't have gotten all the way over here to do that... And that
bootprint looks like a woman's boot size anyways."
After Zack Richards stood up, the huge hamster gave him a knowing
smile and finished just as quietly, "Just do me a favor Zack, and try
not to make your lady any more dangerous to you than the beasties
we're trying avoid in this jungle?"
The overgrown Hamster turned and spoke to the Away Team at
large, "Mr. Jarvis?"
Jarvis replied "Yes Captain?"
"How far do you estimate are we from the crash site?"
"It's in this vicinity sir." Replied Zack Jarvis while beginning to
gesture, as Jay suddenly said, "Captain, I think we've found what
were looking for"

"Keep attacking, don't let them win" White Wolf shouted, everyone let
out a war cry and eventually the hairy beast's dropped to the floor
dead (I hope). Alota collapsed to the floor exhausted,
"Holy hell that was certainly different, no matter how many times I
shot that thing it still came back for more. Talk about suicidal
psychotic maniacs" she said.

The huge hamster stepped Jay stand up, and was about to lean over
help Alota stand up, when he saw a flicker of motion in the bushes
nearby her and yelled "Suppression Fire Over Here" while quickly
interposing himself between Alota and another group of six of the
apelike bear creatures, as they suddenly surged out of the bushes.
One particularly large specimen of the creatures quickly leapt upon
the huge hamster, and bit savagely into the huge hamster left
shoulder. The overgrown hamster repeatedly fired his weapon into it's
chest until his ammo ran out, the hamster swore viciously and dropped
the weapon. While DJ and Schweeble fired upon other beasts, forcing
four of them back momentarily, which Jay the chance he needed to
quickly pick up his weapon and blow an arm off one of the creatures
that was about to pile onto the huge hamster.
Several other members of the team arrived to help put down the four
that Schweeble and DJ were forcing back, while Jay fired more rounds
into the beast whose arm he just blew off.
The large apelike bear continued to grapple with the huge hamster.
The huge hamsters strength was almost a match for it, but the seven
foot tall creature had better leverage. And slowly, the creature
forced the huge hamster to fall into the lake. And with his eyes
practically bulging out his eye sockets, the hamster nearly squirmed
out from beneath the beasts grasp, but the creature grabbed hold and
bear hugged the huge hamsters waist. With lots of violent splashing
and thrashing, both of them fell over and quickly sank into the lake.
For a split a second they surfaced, before quickly sinking back into
the blood tinted waters.
Several tense seconds passed as the group worked to finish off the
five remaining creatures. And as the gunfire stopped, someone
cried, "I'm going to help the Captain!"
Suddenly, there was more violent splashing in the lake and several
team members were sickened as something that looked like a head was
thrown toward the lakeshore.
A moment later, the huge hamster surfaced spluttering, and
yelled, "That one's gotta be part cockroach, the cursed thing is
still moving after I ripped its head off." And the huge hamster
started to swim toward the shore, but let out an exclamation of pain,
as he attempted to use his wounded left shoulder.
