***** ACTION POST **** Part one - The Discovery...

OOC - First off, I wish to Curse Yahoo's name, for when I attempted
to post this last Night, I got a "we're sorry, the system is
temporarily down" and a picture of some goofball *trying* to look
like a plumber!
Secondly, let me say, that was *Great* POTO finale Stewie! You
did an expert job of wrapping it up!
Thirdly, on the Big Brother bit, I couldn't imagine WW and
Harris being in the same house for that long without something nasty
happening. Besides, WW's hamster appetite alone would have him eating
his way out of the house!
(And if anyone needs a refresher of Seymours dramatic lead up, let me
know, I'll repost the pertinent parts.)
Ok, OK... I know everybodies chomping at the bit, for the much
awaited follow up on our next major plot, so Here it is without much
further Ado!

***** Action Post ******
Part one - The Discovery
------------------------
Where: The Drive Room
Who: The Drive room crew.
When: Just as communications officer, Alota Viagra receives a
distress signal.
Alota nearly jumped as she heard a escape pods transmitted radio
distress signal from a planet somewhere up ahead on one of the
routinely boring comunications scans. And in her sudden excitment,
she immediately blurted out, "I'm recieving a signal!"
Major Harris looked up from where he was standing glowering over the
drive room, and inquired gruffly "Exactly what kind of signal?"
"It's a distress signal. I think it may be from a escape pod."
"Very good, Alota. Kayn, why don't you bring the Blue Dwarf towards
the origin of that signal so Ashley can do a sensor sweep and see if
she can pinpoint it's source?" ordered White Wolf, while hardly
looking up from filling out his daily Captains reports.
The sound of a few snores came as Kayn's only reply as all eyes in
the drive room slowly turned toward him.
"Kayn?" repeated White Wolf, while setting down his stylus in
begining to look up, to find out what was going on.
Ashley elbowed Kayn in the ribs, and he woke for a second, and merely
shifted position before quickly dozing off again.
Major Harris, looking very annoyed, walked over to Kayn's station and
spoke softly into his ear, "All comfy Kayn?"
Kayn sleepily noded.
Major Harris shouted into Kayn's ear, "Wake up Navigator! The Captain
wants you to home in on that escape pods signal right now!", abruptly
waking Kayn.
The startled young man slammed the ships controls to full throttle,
shooting the Blue Dwarf forward and knocking Harris and a few other
people off thier balance for a moments.
As White Wolf suddenly gripped his chair armrests, and yelled "Not
quite so fast - I'd prefer that we not require the use of our own
escape pods any sooner, pilot!"
Kayn sheepishly recovered, and brought the Blue Dwarf back down to
normal speed.
Alota called, I'm getting stronger signal, it's bearing 23 degrees
starboard and 45 degrees down off our bow, Captain."
"Ashley? What's over there on our starboard side?" Order the
overgrown hamster.
Ashley quickly ran her sensors, and replied "A planet with a oxygen
atmoshere, a near earth gravity - the sensors indicate it might be
inhabited by a primitive civilization, sir. But that's all I can tell
at this range."
"In other words, a good place to land an escape pod!" Muttered
Harris, and he went back to his glowering stance at the back of the
drive room.
The Huge hamster ordered, "Ok Kayn, let's Put the Blue Dwarf in
orbit. "
Kayn brought the Blue dwarf into orbit.
And overgrown hamster ask "Ok, Ashley, what can you tell me now?"
Ashley frowned at her sensor display, and replied "Umm, Ok, there's
wreckage two sites, geographically separated by a mountain range in a
large tropical rainforest. The one on the east is surrounded by
dispersed possible intelligent lifesigns, and the one on the west is
in a more denser part of the rainforest, with a heavier concentration
of possible animal lifesigns."
The huge hamster got up and headed for the door, while
speaking, "Alota, I want you to contact all the department heads, and
have them meet me in the ready room asap. Mister Harris, come with
me."

Where, When and Who: Minutes later in the meeting room - with all
Department heads present.
Major Harris quickly brought everybody up to speed on the situation.
And White Wolf spoke, "Ok, We're going to need to send down two
Starbugs, to investigate each site and locate any possible survivors.
I'm going to command team one, to check out the east site, Harris, I
want you to head up team two, to check out the west site. I want both
teams ready to launch in two hours. Since this is a unknown and
uncharted planet, I'd like everyone to be prepared for all
contingencies."
The huge hamster glanced at the crew roster, and continued "For team
one, I want Lt. Chrysler to pilot, doctor Trisees for medical,
Engineer Zodar and a volunteer from the science dept for crash site
analysis and ensigns Longwood and Schweeble for security detail. On
team two, I want Lt. Bestrom to pilot, Doctor Keto for Medical,
Commander Smegg and another volunteer from the science dept for crash
site analysis, ensigns Harbinger and Belladonna for security
detail.", he paused, "Since this rescue mission might encounter
hostiles, I'll only authorize up to four total volunteers, two to
each starbug, if anyone wants some away team experience. So put the
word out among your crewmates, gentlemen, I'll be waiting for you in
the hanger bay. Dismissed."
