DJ Longwood wondered what the hell she was doing.
You're trying to be a hero, her brain announced. Trying to stop Evil
Phil? You must be looking for acceptance.
DJ internally screamed at her brain to shut up.
If you keep going, you're either going to get yourself killed or get
Tara Cleavage killed. How would you feel then?
She noticed regular Phil's glance. It made her feel better knowing
that he knew what she was doing.
You have no idea what you're doing!
Evil Phil, luckily, didn't notice DJ as she get closer. He was busy
dangling Tara over her death and trying to tell Phil what he wanted
with Tara.
She was so close now.
DJ dived at EP's knees. She rammed them hard, then landed painfully
on her stomach. She then felt EP fall on top of her.
"Crap!" DJ yelled.
The commotion began instantly. DJ could barely see what going on
around her.
DJ forced herself over. She saw EP staring down at her. He swore at
her visciously. Before she could do anything, a sharp pain arose in
her stomach. EP had punched her. Very hard.
The rest of the security team rushed at EP, pulling him off DJ as she
gagged.
She turned her head. She saw regular Phil holding Tara, upside down,
where Evil Phil had been dangling her. DJ was amazed he could move
fast enough to grab Tara before she fell.
Good job, her brain spat. You're in pain and Tara still almost died.
Brillant plan. What's next: neutron bomb juggling?
Shut up!
<hope no one got to this before I did!>
