"I'm not that young... I'm mature." Chris said.
Chris thought for a second. Oh, yeah. That's right.
"I was accellerated at the academy and graduated early. As for my
position on the ship, It was one of many I could have chosen, but
engineering looked like the best way for me to go."
DJ looked at Chris.
"Was engineering what you wanted to do? Like, you know, when you were
six years old, did you have a dream?"
"Well, I always wanted to be in the action... Flying experimental
shuttles, covert missions on strange planets," Chris grinned at the
thought, "...the works."
"So what stopped you? DJ asked.
"I don't know. I guess back on earth I was just too busy trying
studying anything and everything imaginable that I didn't follow that
path. I didn't end up majoring in anything except being an engineer."
Chris took a sip of his beer. "So, what do you like to do in your
spare time?"
