Harry bashed something over Allie's head. Her vision
went a bit wonky, and she closed her eyes.
She kept her eyes closed as the cart rolled through
the ship. She heard people talking, but didn't bother
to understand what they said.
"Okay, get up you evil, nasty thing," someone said,
roughly yanking on her arm.
Allie opened her eyes. She could guess she was in
the brig. She turned her attention to the person
grabbing her arm. "Nasty?" she snapped. "The only
nasty thing I'm aware of at the moment is the face
staring at me."
Tom's face flashed with pain, then grew angry. He
pulled her up violently. Allie didn't resist. He
thrust her into a cell and closed the door.
Tom poked his head in through the bars. "This cell
has been designed for hologram scum like you. Try and
figure it out. I'll be back later, psycho." He left.
Allie looked around. Boring, she thought. She
wandered over to the bars and tried to thrust put her
hand through.
Her hand remained inside, squished against something
unseen. She tried again, getting the same result.
Allie smiled another of her manical smiles. "A
hardlight barrier," she realized. "Some puny-minded
loser on this ship has developed a hardlight barrier.
Impressive. Humph."
Allie sat down on the bed. For some reason, she
found the cell comfortable. Very comfortable.
If I wasn't on a mission of revenge, she thought, I
could spend the rest of eternity in here.
Allie began thinking up a plan for escape.
Allie didn't know it, but her light bee was damaged.
At some point during the fight, it received a small
crack.
Allie also didn't know that the engineer that had
fitted her safety device had added a more human safety
device as well. The engineer had known Allie wasn't
stable minded and put in a time-release mechanism for
the poison gas to try and give the living people a
chance to survive.
The crew of the Blue Dwarf had 6 days, 23 hours and
25 minutes to live. Too bad none of them knew it.
OOC-How bout that? I though this would make things a
little more interesting until we started our next
mission. Now, no one, not even Allie, knows this is
happening, but don't worry. All the characters will
eventually find out.
