nodded, thinking. "So, nice and quiet on the ship now, huh?"
"Yeah," Chris agreed. "Probably won't be long before the next weird,
space thingy arrives and we're all trying to portect our lives again."
DJ took a sip of her drink. "Uh huh. But I'm not worried. I'm a big
girl with a gun, and hopefully I'll get a chance to prove it soon."
"Haven't seen much action?"
"Haven't seen much of anything," DJ admitted. "I've been pretty much
on my own since arriving. No real friends or nothing."
"That's too bad," Chris sympathized. "Shy?"
DJ shook her head with amusement. "Shy? Me? Hell no. I love being
around people. I think I've just been sorta hard towards people
because I didn't get the job I wanted on Blue Dwarf."
"What'd you want to do?"
"Astro-navigation," DJ answered. "I have star charts and
constellations guides galore. But I got security because of my
background in Ju Jitsu." DJ's eyes wandered off for a second. "But,
anyway, enough about me. How'd you get on this satellite of love at
such a young age?"
<back to you Chris>
OOC-anyone know what the Satellite of Love is?
