To the Bar!
> DJ saw the finish line. She was neck and neck with Chris, and the
> race would end in three seconds. She had to do something so there
was
> a clear winner.
> DJ lifted a foot and set it down in front of the other one. She
> tripped over it immediately, her palms once again skidding on the
> pavement. She looked up and saw Chris cross the line with ease.
> D'Arcy-Jada smiled and stood up. She started forward and glided to
> the finish.
> The two clapped their hands and they exited the game. They began to
> take off the equipment.
> "I saw what you did," Chris finally spoke. "You tripped on purpose."
> DJ nodded. "Of course. It's my way of saying 'Thank you.' Besides,
> you would have won in points anyway."
> Chris thought this over. "Yeah, you're probably right."
> DJ grinned. "Unless you think it's too early, how bout we go down
to
> Parrot's and get a drink?"
> Zodar looked a little worried. "I dunno. I don't know if I can
carry
> you on my own."
> "All right, we'll wait till tonight when there will be someone else
> around to drag me back to my room," DJ agreed. "Meet me at 8, okay?"
> Chris nodded. "It's a date."
"See you at 8, then. I'll go and... uh... prepare."
Chris walked off down the hall, smiling. He felt good. Suprisingly
good, in fact. He felt like singing, but didn't, out of respect for
the crew members who were still sleeping.
"Tonight will be great!" Chris excitedly spoke to himself as he
checked to see if there was a rehearsal for POTO. It was still early,
so Zodar took a small rest on his bed. He didn't close his eyes, he
couldn't, the game was still fresh in his mind.
At 8pm, Chris strode in the door of Parrott's. He had dressed in his
best clothes, and was looking a little older than he usually did. He
wanted to impress DJ. Chris looked around the bar for DJ...
<Over to you DJ>
OOC: I know it's a little short, but I'm really tired. :)
