Allie blinked. What was she talking about, rescuing
her? Here came the big moment...
"Sorry I didn't rescue you, Tara," Allie said in
Phil's voice, "but I was busy with my new girlfriend."
Tara stared at him/her as if she/he had two heads.
"What!?" she screeched.
Phil nodded. "Sorry it has to end this way, Tara,
but you're just not what I'm looking for in a women.
I've found someone else and I'm much happier with
her."
Tara began to wail. "What's going on? What did I
do?"
Phil/Allie remained stone-faced. "Nothing. You
didn't do anything for me. Sorry, you're just not good
enough. Good-bye, Tara." She/he left the room.
Once outside, Allie made her way down the corridors
of Blue Dwarf wearing a great big smile. A few people
stopped and asked her why he was so happy. Phil had
replied that he had a new girlfriend and dumped that
little girl Tara. Most people had returned a shocked
expression, saying they had thought Phil and Tara were
a great couple.
"Well, that's what you get for thinking," Allie had
replied snootily each time.
Back in her quarters, Allie changed her image back
to her normal self. She couldn't stop grinning. That
plan couldn't have turned out better. Not only was
Tara extremely upset, but people would now think Phil
was a jerk.
"Oh, you are a genius," she cooed to herself, and
made her way to Parrott's for a celebratory drink.
