Stewie and Zack entered the almost reconstructed McKenzies. It
looked better than before.
"I need to talk to you Zack."
"Yes, Mr. McKenzie?"
"During the next 2 - 3 weeks, you will be the head of McKenzies.
I'll be dealing with the musical."
Zack was gobsmaked. He had caused the demolishment of the
establishment of McKenzies, nearly fired and now put in charge!
"Thanks Stuart!"
"Just one favour ..."
Zack's jaw dropped. He forgot the old "Just one favour" trick.
"Yes?"
"Could you possibly persuade your wife to be involved? We need
another female for a part in the musical."
"I'll see ..."
"Thanks! Now I mustn't dilly-dally! I've got to get to the first
script reading."
"See ya Stewie!"
"Bye Zack."

Zack watched as Stewie hurried off. Then he turned and headed
up to Stewie's office in a daze. In charge? HIM?!
He sat at the desk for a moment. What should be the first item
on his agenda?
Ah, yes! A 'damaged merchandise' sale! A frighteningly large
percentage of their inventory on the floor qualified. He started
drafting up advertisements.
Just then, Cubie walked in. "Hey, Zack. What are you doing at
Stewie's desk?"
Zack looked up and smiled. "I'm taking over for a couple weeks
while Stewie manages the Phantom of the Opera play he's putting on."
Cubie's jaw dropped. "He put you in charge?"
Zack nodded. "I know! I couldn't believe it either! He must
have forgiven me for wrecking his store."
Cubie sat on the corner of the desk. "Zack, I'm so proud of
you! Management! Maybe this is where you've always been meant to
be."
"To discount, or not to discount . . . that is the question,
isn't it?" Zack smiled. "Oh, speaking of acting, Stewie wanted to
know if you'd like to play a part in the play."
He blinked. He was suddenly alone. "Oh. Well, sorry I
mentioned it."
Stewie was just arriving at the theater when a breathless Cubie
appeared in front of him, clutching his lapels. "I'll do it!"
<Back to you, Stewie - brief her on her role. She - and I - are
clueless about this play, so the quality of her acting will be
directly proportional to the thoroughness of her brief. Either IC or
privately to me - whichever you prefer.>
