The Gaussian shotguns that Smegg mounted on a starbug and Kayn put on his "Valkyrie" ship fire neobium magnets. Why anyone would search for neobium, I don't know, maybe they misspelled niobium which is a real element...
 
Interesting thing about the word "valkyrie"... it's a Norse word meaning "one of those amazon-angel-types who brings dead warriors to Valhalla" but "vale" is Latin for "farewell" and "kyrie" is Greek for "lord"...
 
Now if only I would post about something related to the story...
