Re: [JMC_Blue_Dwarf] Overwhelming
The cleaner looked around. She saw D'Arcy-Jada Longwood sitting by herself at
the bar. Katrina went over to DJ and sat down.
"Hey DJ, what's up?"
The glum DJ took a sip of her fifth beer. "Nothing at all," she admitted.
"Bored and depressed."
"Why depressed?" Katrina asked concernedly.
"I don't seem to be making any friends on Blue Dwarf," DJ admitted sadly. "I
wasn't even invited to help build the security team's robot for the
competition."
Katrina wrapped her friend in a hug. "I'm your friend, aren't I?"
DJ didn't seem too happy. "Yeah, but you've been so busy with the captain-"
"I'm sorry."
"Naw, it's all right," DJ interrupted. "I've just been a bit of a recluse
since I met Harris."
Katrina seemed very confused. "Why?"
"I dunno. Wait, yes I do. He's a smegging jerk!" DJ erupted. "I was trying to
show him what I could do and he thought I was showing off. Oh, I hate him!"
Katrina was taken back. "Whoa, calm down, girl. Stroke City."
DJ settled down. "Aw, I'm letting the incident getting the best of me. I just
need a nice, long nap. And another beer. Owen!"
Katrina helped her friend up. "You've had enough. C'mon and sleep it off. My
quarters are closer."
DJ let Katrina drag her through Blue Dwarf. Halfway to her friend's room, DJ
began singing "My Heart Will Go On" in the worst voice she could. Three
scutters had flipped her Vs after she had accidentally thrown up on their
broom cupboard.
"You're here, there's nothing I fear!" she screeched. "And I kno-ow-"
DJ didn't remember anything after that.
