Cmdr Smegg - "Robot worries"

Robot Wars was already several days delayed; even with Bender's help the
set was nowhere near being constructed. Most of the girders had already
been bent before Bender had arrived so he was rather grumpy and we had to
do it the hard way, with big machines hauled in from the mining
department. If this had been an actual engineering project to save the
ship, then we would have all been dead by now. Commander Whitewolf and a
junior crew member had for some reason decided to hang-glide to a shuttle
hanging from the ceiling that had been moved there to accommodate the
competition; they would have had much less trouble had they waited till
the GRAVITY went out... which Smegg would be glad to fix, except that
he'd been given express orders not to by the captain, after the latter
had had a comment whispered in his ear by a certain member of the
janitorial staff. So things were not at all coming along smoothly. Smegg
began to regret having started this whole competition thing, until he
realized it was just another fun engineering challenge, and thought, we
should have a 0-G robot wars sometime...
OOC - still need the designs for Recon Drone and Antibot, I think, before
we can get started! (why did I ever decide to do it this way?)
