(Blue Dwarf) 'Lending a hand'

As a scutter was passing Jill appeared on a viewer in the wall and shouted. "Oh, you."
The scutter stop and looked up at Jill.
"Yes you." Jill said. "Listen to what I have to say and then get a pence and paper then right down, right?"
The scutter nodded and began to moved away.
"Come back here!" Jill shouted and as the scutter came back. "I haven't told you what to right now yet. Now listen carefully."

Donover was now just wandering around the desks wondering where to go next.
That explosion earlier had made him jump and he had considered running off to some corner and hiding in some corner were no one would find, but what would be the point. But what really freaked him out was the way some of the crew was acting, that they were happy. Never a good sign.
Donvoer tripped over a scutter and he got up, looking at the scutter he had tripped over he saw that it was holding a piece of paper in its' claws and was offering to him. Donover took the piece of paper from the scutter and it went on its' way. He opened up the folded piece of paper and read,
'Ensign Donover, Private Lloyd is on KP deck'.
Donover just folded the piece of paper, put it in his pocket and started off towards the KP deck.

Donover arrived at the KP deck to find Lloyd and the man, clearly from the engineering department, the barman had described as a greaseball lying on the mountain of potatoes.
