Telling Dirk off

Captain's office
Deck 1
Niples sat behind his desk trying to look as cool and brave as a Captain should look as Dirk Bell moped into the room. He looked a bit sweaty as if he'd just been in the gym. Dirk looked around to see the office was still in the process of re-decoration, Niples had left it like this until he got fully settled into the job. Leaving it to others that thought that the move symbolised Niples' transgression from Commander to Captain, not yet daring to fully replace Cannon's bizarre syle (and colour schemes) to one of his own.
Niples took his feet from his desk and stopped trying to look comfortable, he sat back on the chair properly- which actually looked MORE comfortable.
Dirk didn't look too happy, the fact that he was in a bad mood was why Niples had ordered the science officer to come to see him.
"Mr. Bell, I have heard reports that you aren't being all too cooperative and causing friction on board this ship..."
"And what makes you say that?" asked Dirk.
"Tha fact that you punched the chief Science officer for a start"
"Oh yeah... that." said Dirk. "Look, I'm having a shitty day. Are you going to punish me or not?"
"Well that depends..." said Niples, fiddling around with the lava-lamp on his desk.
"On what?"
"What's a ten letter word meaning 'to show too much willingness to serve or obey' ".
Dirk inwardly groaned. As if the entire crew hadn't had enough of Holly asking crossword questions without the captain doing it as well.
"Obsequious" said Dirk, after a few seconds. Something which he was not.
<<Do you want to continue Dirk???
OOC- About deciding a winner for each robot wars battle. I think we should do one-on-one matches which would be easier to do joint-posts. We have an even number of robots so that's ok. But to decide the winner will be the tricky part- we could leave it up to the 2 people doing the joint post's to decide how the battle will go- or some neutral person like me or Smegg (as it was his idea) will roll a dice or flip a coin to decide which robot wins.
Or a panel of indipendant adjudicators to decide on damage, control, style and aggression! (do you know anyone called Proffessor Noel Sharky?)
I'll leave it to Smegg to decide, as it was his idea in the first place. And I hope Smegg will start off the competition by writing an Action post setting up the robot wars competition just like the TV show is!
