Stealth, Love and Fun With Colours
OOC - This is a little long, for which I apologise in advance, but
it's only because I enjoy posting so much and haven't done enough in a
while due to PC probs. :)

> "So any ideas on how to sneak into the docking area
> and steal some uranium? Maybe some engineering
> boilersuits and some tranquiliser darts might be the
> answer..." Trailing off, she gave Shakespeare's hair a
> look. "Say, have you ever thought to dye thy locks
> burgundy or vermillion?"
Shakespeare stared into her eyes deeply and took hold of her hands
across the table.
"I must confess that I have not, though I am certain that thou
woulds't do my hair the justice that only thou could perform," he said
gently, lifting on of her hands to his mouth and lightly kissing it.
Coffey looked away again at the ground, a large grin decorating her
beautiful face. Shakespeare looked out of the window at the herds of
people sweeping through the promenades' long corridors. Many dipping
from the flow into the lines of shops, whilst the other pushed along
due to the human current.
He mused thoughfully.
"Engineering boilersuits, tranquillisers, you know," he turned back
to look Coffey in the eye. "Hazel, thou hast given me a fabarillo idea."
*
Coffey and Shakespeare entered the medibay quietly.
"No sign of Keto," said Coffey who had fully entered the room,
scouting around for the chief medical examiner. Shakespeare breathed
a sigh of relief, and the pair went into the preparation room. Its
walls were lined with shelf after shelf and on the shelves were
bottles of ointment. All colours, all quantities and all shapes.
"This could take a while," said Coffey, placing her hands on her
hips and staring at the numerous containers.
"It might," said Shakespeare, looking intently at the rows of jars
and placing a hand on his chin. "However," he said, darting forward
and swiping a glass jar named 543. He placed it on the table and in
succession picked up a further eight jars. 67, 55478421, 253, 34878,
633, 8, 7005, 39379. He placed them in a row on the white pristine
table.
"I believe, well, thous't thoughts enter my mind in a hunch like
form, that these are our ingredients," he said, gesturing to the line
of jars.
Coffey raised an eyebrow, "I'm impressed," she said. "You really
think those are the ones, just on intuition?"
"We shall see," said Shakespeare enigmatically, whilst releasing a
small smile. He picked up 6 of the jars and carried them into the
main medibay area, Coffey following with the remaining two.
On one of the beds, asleep and dripping onto the clean floor, was a
female ensign. She was covered in a thick blue like gel substance,
which Shakespeare recognised as Keto Wonder Ointment 475: Space
Contamination Cleaner ('Regen Teklice' Bathroom spray.)
"I'm certain that this Ensign would'st be willing to oblige with our
trials," presumed Shakespeare. He dumped the jars on the bed beside
the ensign and removed the top of one.
"50 cc's of this," he mumbled, and set to work, mixing the contents
of the vials into a tube. Coffey took a nearby seat and watched, with
amazement, as William worked his wonders.
*
Shakespeare sighed and stood up, a small test tube full of a green
solution in his hand. He beamed proudly and showed Coffey.
"This is thy tranquilliser," he said, happily.
"All that remains is to try it out on her," explained Coffey,
pointing to the ensign. Shakespeare prodded the ensign lightly, and
she slowly awoke, wiping her face clean of the blue gunk.
"Where, am I?" she asked, looking at Shakespeare.
"The medibay, handmaiden," said Shakespeare. "I am thou doctor and
you are my subject. Now lie back, whilst I use thy sedative on you."
"ok doctor," said the Ensign. Shakespeare borught out a needle and
filled it half way with the green liquid. He prepped her arm and
pushed the needle into its flesh.
"No wait, I have to tell you," she protested, as Shakespeare pushed
the liquid into the Ensign's blood stream,
"Its back...it's..." she managed before the tranquilliser hit home
and sent her sleeping.
"What dost thou suppose she was referring to?" asked Shakespeare,
satisfied that his tranquilliser would work a treat.
"I don't know, William, but I think we should better hurry before
they have the robot wars and Mercutio is too late to enter."
"Good idea, fairest Hazel," said Shakespeare and he packed a further
five needles of the tranquilliser before both he and Coffey left the
medibay in search of the uranium.
*
The lift to the docking bays stopped; Coffey and Shakespeare exiting
it and standing just in front of the open doors much like two heroes
in a poster for an action film. Give them guns and you'd have thought
it was an advert for Starship Troopers 2.
Coffey and Shakespeare were dressed in fetching black skin tight
catsuit type clothes. Whilst rooting around in the engineer's
clothing section, they had found a panel marked: Medibay Offworld
Fashion Disaster. Unable to resist peeking, they had located five skin
tight suits (two male, three female,) espeially created for the medibay.
They gave the impression of people not to be messed with, and with
the holsters for medical equipment and weaponry, they looked very
commando-esque. Coffey and Shakespeare had decided there and then not
to waste such marvel's and had both got dressed into them. Now they
were ready for the stealing part.
In front of them were eight starbugs lined up against the wall, all
lookign clean and shiny.
"Choose a starbug, Hazel," said Shakespeare, waving his arm out.
"I choose, Starbug 4," she said.
"Then that's where we shall find our uranium," said Shakespeare,
happily.
They began walking towards the Starbug.
"Your present day english is going exceedingly well," said Coffey.
"Thank you, my dear," said Shakespeare, "I have had excellent
company to help me." As they walked they turned to look at each
other. It was as if a thousand words passed through their gazes to
each other. for a second, both could see what the other was feeling
about the other. They quickly turned back to the Starbug. Their
faces turning a light shade of red and their paces quickening
*
Shakespeare knelt in the engineering deck of Starbug, welding torch
in hand, and melting a smallish panel on the floor. Coffey stood
behind him, wearing a safety visor and holding a pair of industrial
forceps with her right hand and a container in the other.
The panel fell away and into the bowels of the starbug to reveal
part of the reactor core.
"We hath to be so very careful, Hazel," said Shakespeare, backing
away from the visible reactor rods.
"Just one stick of uranium, and then we can finish the improvement
to Mercutio, tell Keto and enter our completed robot."
Hazel bent forward, lowering the large forceps into the reactor
power source.
She hooked them around the stick nearest to the top of the pile.
then lifted it slowly from out of the water bath casing. It dripped
onto the floor and she swiftly placed it gingerly into the container
she held at arms length. It sunk into the foamlike casing and she
screwed the lid on tightly.
"It'll be completly harmless in there," she grinned, removing the
welding helmet and looking at the thermos type container.
"Excellent, now to retire back to the hiding place of Mercutio,"
said Shakespeare. He pulled open his sack of extra's where the spray
paint, cloth, wood, glue and sticks were hiding. Coffey handed him
the container and he dropped it in with the rest befor zipping it back
up and slinging it over his shoulder. He smiled,
"And after that if you wish to, my head is all yours for any ideas
you hath upon the field of hairdressery."
Coffey laughed.
"I will most certainly take you up on that offer," she said. They
laughed togther before moving through the belly of the starbug back up
to the main deck.
"I wonder why the security team haven't had anything to do with us?"
asked Coffey, absent mindedly.
"Oh, I believe they are too busy testing their robot in the cargo bay,"
"Ah, well, what harm will we do with a stick of uranium?" asked
Coffey laughing. She stopped and looked thoughtfully at Shakespeare
as they travelled along the docking bay and into the lift.
"What are we to do with the uranium, William?" she asked, realising
that she had no idea why he wanted all this equipment for the robot.
"That, my most glorious of all compatriots," he said warmly, taking
her hand once more and kissing it gently, "is the biggest surprise."
He let go of her hands and pressed the button for the floor on which
Mercutio was kept. then he turend back to Coffey, and as the doors
slowly closed, he looked deeply into her eyes.
"Hazel, I...err...what I mean is...I think...um," Shakespeare
laughed at himself. Coffey looked at him, slightly puzzled.
"Are you okay, William?" she said with concern. she placed a hand
on his shoulder as he turned around to face the doors of the lift.
"Here I am," he said, putting a hand to his head and shaking it, "A
famous playwright, and I can't even get out the words of 'Hazel, I
find you very attractive and I think I'm falling for you..." he
stopped talking, as his mind caught up with his mouth. His face went
a deep red and he breathed in sharply, before slowly changing his
field of view to Coffey.
She was looking at him. Her face looked as beautiful as ever to
him. Her expression looked to be one of pure joy. He'd never seen
anything so incredible to behold, he could stare at her all day long
she was the most angelic person he'd ever encountered. She made his
heart skip a beat, he'd never felt like this before. He just hoped it
was reciprocated.
She put a hand on her heart.
"William, do you really mean it?"
"Hazel," he said, turning to face her directly. "No one else hath
ever caused me to feel the way I do now, I think of you and it sends
me into a flutter, you hath brightened my life, and I want to be with
you for the rest of it," he said. He finished and waited for her
reaction, as the lift continued to move upwards.
She was quiet for a second, looking into Shakespeare's deep blue
eyes. She could tell from them that he was being completely honest,
as well as the fact she was feeling the same as him.
"William," she said, moving close to him. She reached up and kissed
him gently on the lips, before drawing back slightly.
"I feel the same."
Shakespeare put his arms around Coffey, before kissing her again.
*
15 Mintues later and the two medical officers were standing by the
side of Shakespeare's hiding place.
"This ith where I placed Mercutio," he said.
"No one ever comes here," she said, "How did you know about it?"
"When I hath that unfortunate of events in the meteor belt, thy time
was spent studying blueprints of Blue Dwarf. I can navigate my way
around the ship, blindfold," he explained, pulling away the panel.
There was a large grating nosie as the panel unconnected itself from
the wall and revealed a large hiding place.
They looked into the hole and in unison their jaws dropped open.
"What manner of being is this?!" asked Shakespeare, in confusion.
"I don't believe it, it's back," said Coffey.
From inside the safety of the hole, the leaves of the Big Pink Tree
rustled gleefully.
"Big Pink Tree, what on earth are you doing here?" asked Coffey.
It's leaves rustled.
"Really?" asked Shakespeare.
It rustled its leaves faster.
"Why would you think we'd do that?" asked Shakespeare.
There was a slower rustle.
"No, that was an accident," said Coffey sympathetically.
The leaves rustled.
"Of course, but we do need to finish thy robot," said Shakespeare.
The big pink tree jumped out of the hole, followed by Mercutio.
Shakespere pulled the cover off, whilst Coffey removed the pot plant
and he emptied the sack of equipment on the floor.
"Ok, this will be tricky, but as long as we folow the intructions,
the end product will be the best robot this competition hath ever laid
eyes upon," said Shakespeare.
Coffey nodded and the Big Pink Tree jumped up and down happily.
"Lets get to work."

OOC - Whew, sorry about that, (The not in advance apology.) I got
carried away with the storyline, more due to the nearing of the robot
wars and the fact that I had to tie up some loose ends involving the
Ointmentator II. Hope I didn't bore you too much with it. :)
