Kayn smiled and leapt into the Valkyrie. He had eleven days to waste - maybe a 'round the nearby planet and back' would be great. After all, Kayn couldn't lose. The Valkyrie had two Starbug engines and a beta-tested cloaking mechanism - Jay litterally wouldn't know what hit him
 
"One thing Jay!" he called
"What?"
"Is the autopilot on?"
Jay cursed to Kayn, and Holly appeared on screen
"Hey up...what's going on?"
"Hi Holly" Kayn said "You mind giving us a countdown for our race?"
"RACE? You're going to RACE? The robot war's competetion's staring in a week and your wanting to RACE?"
"Look Holl, I've spent good time and money on my robot, I've moved all the starbugs out into the storage bays with Jay's help, and I've found five robots and given them your direct control - cut me some slack"
"Come on Holl! Open the doors, give us a map and say Ready set go!" Jay pleaded
"Fine...but you need to give me a five letter abbreviation defining a state where people will not have an eyesore constructed near thier houses ending with the letter Y otherwise I'll lockdown the landing bay doors for a week"
"NIMBY" Kayn said after thirty seconds
"Eh?"
"It's 'Not in my back yard' syndrome...look, are you going to say go or not?"
Holly suddenly donned a very cheap and tacky looking helmet
"On your marks...get set...GO!"
The customised midget shot out at the same time as the Valkyrie. Both clipped the doors on the way out.
Holly appeared on screen for both of them, now wearing something that racehorse commentators would wear
"And thier off, it's the Valkyrie on the inside with the Pheonix coming up close behind..."

OOC - I think the best way to cope with the robot wars thing is for all of the entrants to do joint posts...should be a RIGHT laugh... So far no one's disagreed with my fixture list...hope that means I -gasp- didn't fix it TOO much...
