it's life Jim, but thankfully not Welsh...

Chicken/Poultry Farm
The intercom and the officers desk hissed with static, giving a sound like a
snake with a voicebox on prozac. The officer, recently promoted from
engineer, attempted to repair the console in the best traditions of his
peers and hit it with something heavy. The static slowly faded to a somewhat
more irritating crackle, but at least the shuttle pilots voice could be
heard.
"I'm coming in to land in about two minutes!" The voice garbled out "And I'm
dropping off the alien as soon as we land."
The officer paused for a few moments to replay the sentance in his head
several times to ensure he had heard what he thought he had heard.
"Alien?" He inquired in the tones of someone who is thinking of demoting
himself in order to avoid this kind of hassle.
"Well I'm not sure. He looks human, but he's speaking no language I've ever
heard before. The translator prints it out as Welsh, but if that's right
then he's promoting his theory on porridge and how it can be used to fill in
black holes."
The officer sighed and reclined in his chair, deciding that it wasn't his
problem after all. Two minutes later the shuttle careened into the landing
bay and came to land heavily.
The bay doors opened and the pilot hurried out and headed with undue haste
toward the closest bar while the officer watched the opening in mild
interest. finally a huge bear-like figure staggered down the ramp and away
toward another landing bay where a shuttle squatted like a... like a... well
like a shuttle actually.
"Hey dere mon." Joshua called to a nearby engineer as he set down his goat
and bag. "Where is da shuttle dat is going to da blue dwarf?"
The engineer paused and considered the question as he took another swig from
his can of meths. "Over there." He gestured to another door, and Joshua
staggered away once more to look for someone to point him in the right
direction.
