The Final Countdown part 2

Who: Eve
Where: Outside the lower level trash compactors

As Evelina did her best to wipe off the goo from her head she started waking off to a nearby public bathroom. There she washed off her face and hands since it was hard to hold the heavy MACO pistol. Then she grabbed a few towels to wipe off as much slime as she could from herself and her pistol. As she looked at the gun she sighed as she missed her husband.

She sighed as she thought, "I wish Jaxx was here to protect me, but like they say if wishes were wings then frogs would't bump their bums on the ground."

<Suddenly the ship Shook>

She barely had time to grab the sink to prevent from falling down. Her adrenaline once again raced through her blood as she tried to call Holly on her com watch. Unfortunately all she got was a combination of static and a few off beat words.

“Shit” Jay spat, hurriedly pulling out his communicator “Heads up everyone. The time anchors are going live. Anyone not already tagged needs one sharpish – The way things are looking, they're the only way we’re going to survive this”

After hearing Jay's words she looked at the mirror and saw her hair still covered in the nasty goo.

She said, "Man I look like I just came out of one of those perverted Japanese anime full of horny demons. I hope I can get this out of my hair before Jaxx gets back."

After a while her com watch began to work again and she called Jay to say, "This is Eve checking in. I got tagged already. I'm held up in a bathroom for now on T deck."

After that she wrapped a towel around her neck, sighed and sank to the ground holding her knees to her chest. She was scared she was going to die and never see Jaxx again. The feeling of fear made her tremble as a few tears ran down her face. As she tried to keep her composure she felt something poke her pocket. As she reached into her pocket she found the MP3 player she reclaimed from a prior mech. As she looked at the song list she found the song that she claimed as hers and Jaxx's song. She smiled a bit as she selected the song to play and sing along with.

Yet another strike tore into the Dwarf; this one plunging the ship into inky darkness.

She did her best to ignore the fear of impending doom in her heart as the only source of light came from her music player. She stayed focus on the song as she wiped her tears away. She knew it was a matter of time before the dwarf was destroyed as she examined her wedding ring to think about Jaxx as she continued to sing.

They heard the next impact as well as felt it; a rumbling shriek of tortured metal in the distance. The Dwarf being torn apart.
