Boom Goes the Dynamite

Meanwhile.
Back in the hallway the metal man left down came the sounds of gun fire, followed by a skinny shadow run into the dark opening just at the edge of the hallway and the weapons team could see him throw something down the hall. Well not see it exactly but he made the motion, after the object was thrown there was a pop sound and the distinct scent of Sealing Foam filled the air. A tool used for sealing hull damage while it was being fixed or the supplies were gathered to fix it was used as a weapon. The figures face could not be made out he seemed to be wearing a rebreather mask and a hood. The man turned to meet their gaze only for a moment before using the low gravity to leap back into an open air vent and vanishing as fast as he appeared. Leaving the team time to get the weapons and the metal man temporary encased in a very very hard foam.

After seeing the shadowed person block the path of the meal man, Jamie gave Evelina the all clear sign. She quickly led the others to the area where the hidden lab was and activated the door. After they entered the lab she quickly closed the door to conceal their location.

After passing the clone/stasis chambers filled with clear bluish liquid and some computers they made their way to the armory. As they looked around Evelina pointed out the lockers where the weapons were being stored inside.

She said, "Apparently they planned to make an army of shark-men like Jaxx so they have a lot of armor and weapons left over. The problem is that they are very heavy since they were made for MACOs."

Jamie picked up the MACO pistol and said, "No kidding this thing ways over ten pounds, but I bet it packs one hellova kick."

Evelina said, "No kidding I had to settle for the back up pistol since all the other ones were so heavy. Feel free to take what you can use. There are assorted grenades, big knives, heavy axes, hand cannons, heavy assault rifles, heavy chain-guns and heavy bazookoids. Most of them are heavy and hard to aim unless your strong like Jaxx though."

Ransom tried to pick up the heavy assault rifle and struggled as he said, "Oh my who ever made this must have been mad."

Evelina smirked as she said, "Well keep in mind these are the same blokes that thought mixing shark and human DNA was a great idea. You should see the old footage sometime. I can't remember how many scientists were eating while making them."

Penny gasped as she said, "Brett I don't like this."

Brett said, "Its ok Penny I'm sure we will get out of this alright."

Evelina smiled as she said, "Of course. Jamie will help us out since he great at survival."

Jamie rubbed his chin as he was looking at the weapons and not listening.

Evelina said, "Jamie?"

Jamie replied, "Huh? oh yeah of course. I'm sure we can figure a way out of this.

After grabbing a few heavy weapons they got ready to head out of the lab. However after opening the door they saw the back of a metal man right on the other side of the door. Evelina panicked as she quickly aimed her hand cannon point blank and pulled the trigger at the back of the metal man. The blast sent her flying backwards and further into the lab as she fell on her back. The metal man was hurled forward into the nearby guardrail which it dented. As the metal man started to stand up again Jamie aimed and fired the bazookiod at the metal man and sent it flying off the rail as he flew backwards next to Evelina on the floor. After slowly getting up with some lower back pains they looked down several decks to see the metal man impaled on some broken I-beams and cable in a pile of debris. As they sighed with relief they heard the foam sealant crack and eventually break as another metal man emerged from it. Out of reflex everyone who could hold a weapon blindly aimed and fired at the metal man. However even knowing about the kick of the MACO weapons they were still sent flying backwards into some deck plating. The metal man on the other hand had its legs blasted off by the bazookoid which seemed to be the only hit it took. Both Brett and Evelina missed their shots before being knocked to the floor.

Penny looked at the metal man while the others were slow to get up from the recoil of the heavy and unwieldy MACO weapons. While rubbing the bruises on their backsides they heard a scream from Penny forcing them to look in front of them.

Penny shook in fear as she pointed at the metal man and said, "He..he..hes still moving!"

As they looked the legless metal man was now covered in goo as it crawled towards them they heard some odd music coming from a nearby source.

After giving each other a confused look they all looked at the approaching metal man crawling towards them in desperation. Though it was not moving fast it was creepy and they were a bit to sore to shoot the weapons again.

Then Ransom smiled as he got an idea and said, "Wait I got an idea."

Then he pulled a grenade from his pocket as well as he multi-electronic tool. After altering the energy signature of the grenade he pulled the pin and tossed it to the side of the metal man near the broken railing. As the grenade rolled off the deck plating the metal man quickly turn and quickly reached out to grab the grenade before it fell. However since it lacked good vision he failed to realize it was halfway off the edge as it grabbed its target. The crew watched the metal man fall off the edge holding the grenade. A few seconds later the were slightly deafened and shocked by the explosion of the grenade. The explosion was loud and made everyone's ears ring for a bit as they rubbed them while making odd faces.

After getting their bearing and hearing back Penny asked, "What did you do?"

Ransom smirked as he said, "I merely cloned my energy signature onto the grenade before I tossed it. Since it lacked a clear sight I assumed it was using a secondary scanning system which was easier to fool."

Evelina a smirked as she said, "Wow your pretty smart."

Ransom smugly fixed his collar as he said, "Indeed."

Jamie led the others to look over to edge to see if the metal man was destroyed only to see it was in several pieces and scattered on the floor below.

As they were relieved to see the danger had passed Evelina shocked them as she said, "I found it."

Jamie asked, "What did you find?"

She smiled as she said, "The MP3 player Jaxx gave me. I lost it a while back. It looks like the metal man found it and was messing with it when we shot him."

The others looked at Evelina as they shook their heads at her. Jamie then suggested they find and help the others by looking for Jay and Cass.
