Reflections

After talking for hours on end Eve eventually fell asleep holding the data pad. Jaxx was torn that he could no longer sleep but opted to watch Eve sleep. She looked so peaceful when she slept. As Jaxx thought about his situation he knew he didn’t have a choice he needed to keep his mind together if he wanted to be with Evelina again. Jaxx focused on his feeling for Evelina as he sat motionlessly watching her sleep. It sent a warm feeling in Jaxx’s circuits when he heard Eve purr in her sleep. Jaxx wasn’t sure if that was normal for a GELF or just Eve, but he got used to it when he started sharing a room with her. It was that sound that gave him hope in his quest to be with Eve again. Even though the thought of a woman snoring was considered annoying by most Jaxx needed to hear that sound in his life to give him strength.

Jay grimaced "Sorry, my fault; I know you don't like discussing your past"
"It's not even my past to talk about," Cass retorted "but I care less the longer we're out here, so..." she shrugged "You know..."
"Shh" Phil nudged Jade who started and looked somewhat guiltily up at them as they arrived back at the table and began distributing the drinks
"What were you two talking about?" she asked
"Just talking about how Brittany got here" Cass said as she flopped back down onto the banquette to slide in behind the table "Long story short: She was on the run from almost everyone and bribed her way onto the first ship that'd take her a long, long way from home" she paused to take a mouthful of her gin "What were you talking about?"

After a few hours of shuteye Eve woke up feeling out of sorts. When she looked around she saw the computer pad video blank. Eve said, “Oh smeg the battery ran out. Oh well I’ll recharge it for now. “ After recharging the battery Eve put on a tight black mini dress showing off her cleavage and tight legs & some leather thigh high boots before leaving her room. Her first impulse was to talk to Jaxx, but she knew there was nothing she could to help him at this point, so Eve went for a walk. Eve walked randomly for a while as she tried to get her mind right. Ever since she woke up from stasis her whole world has been turned around. She finally met a guy who made her happy and now he was stuck in a skutter’s body with the possibility of loosing himself on top of being confined to his room. As Eve was trying to deal with her issues she found herself at a nearby bar. Normally she wouldn't drink alone but she wasn't exactly popular these days with the remaining crew members so Eve sat at the bar and waited till the rodent bartender approached her. After ordering a Vodka and soda Eve she took a few sips to help her relax. Suddenly Eve heard voices and some laughter at the other side of the bar and noticed it was Jay, Cass, Phil and Jade having a good time. Eve sighed as she watched them have a good time. Eve flashed back to when she was younger and spent time with her friends the “Rowdy Girls”. Life back then was different compared to now.

Eve wondered if she should join the others but then remembered that Jay and Cass were still mad at Jaxx. Eve thought about what Jade had told her while on the “Fool’s Paradise” planet they were on. Eve knew she had to be patient and hope that Jade would keep her word to help get Jaxx back to normal or at least acceptable version of normal. Eve remembered the videos she and Jaxx saw while in the MACO lab. It was hard to believe that her Jaxx could be that scary. She felt bad for Jaxx knowing it was a big struggle for him to fit in anywhere. As Eve reflected on her past and present she realized that once she got her Jaxx back she was going to have to keep him on a short leash so he wouldn't get in trouble again. It was going to be a big adjustment for the both of them. Eve’s daydream was interrupted by the rodent bartender who asked if she wanted a refill. Eve told the bartender to keep them coming and put the bill on her husband’s (Jaxx) tab. After the rodent bartender set the billing to Jaxx’s tab he made a pitcher of Vodka and soda and left it with Eve to pour at her leisure. Eve looked at the pitcher and knew it would take a lot of alcohol to get her drunk since her GELF stomach could process just about anything. Eve refilled her glass and went back to daydreaming.
