Saucer Party

Cass exchanged shots with the guards as Artemis worked on a power conduit for an elevator.

"Do you even know what you're doing?" Cass yelled, taking out a mechanoid guard.

"I thought I already told...." a bullet sliced into Artemis' shoulder. "AH! BITCH!" he yelled, pulling Lindstrom in the way.

"I thought I already told you that the layout is familiar to Charon's! I know what I'm doing! For the most part..."

The elevator dropped a few inches.

"Okay, that's not my fault"
"Right"

The elevator doors closed and it grinded upwards.

"Alright, we're going to need to work quick once we're in the saucer. If we use Lars as a human shield we can probably convince them to leave the saucer and buy us some time" Artemis said.

"I'll coerce the staff, you keep that asshole in check" Cass said, reloading her rifle.

The Command Saucer

"They just took him and they ran off with him!" Alexis sobbed. The guards comforted her.
"We'll get him back, don't worry" the captain said.

"Sir, incoming elevator. The Warden is onboard with two inmates" A guard said.

The door burst open, Cass ran out, firing shots into the air. Artemis came out from behind her with lindstrom in a headlock, the rifle against his head.

"NOBODY MOVE OR LINDSTROM GETS A CAP IN HIS HEAD!" Cass yelled.

The guards and the saucer staff backed away from the duo, Alexis stared in shock at her father.

"Daddy! Why!" she yelled.
"Your god damned husband is a menace, I don't know why you haven't seen that!" Artemis snapped back, he turned to the guards.

"Clear the room in the next ten seconds or I'll end his pitiful life" Artemis growled.

The staff and Alexis cleared the room. Cass locked the doors using a control panel and got to work on the security systems, Artemis sat Lindstrom down and used a terminal to remotely access the lab.

"Purging Labratory life support" the computer reported.

"YOU. BASTARD!" Lindstrom yelled.
"Should have asked nicely dear boy" Artemis said sarcastically. "Now you're going to be a good boy and stay quiet so Ms. Jones can work" Artemis aimed the rifle at Lindstrom, who looked up at him with pure rage.

"There, sent a tram back to the cellblock for the others. Now let's get working on security" Cass said.

Unbeknownst to the trio, two guards snuck back into the room. They crept up behind Artemis, and one drew his pistol.

A shot rang out, and the guard fell to the ground. Gums was standing behind him, holstering his pistol.

"Gums?" Artemis said.

"They found a way back into the room, we need to work quickly" Gums replied.
"Uh..we?" Cass objected.
"This bastard was going to have Dr. Pritchard clone an army of those damn lizards after he made their children, he was going to replace us. Naturally when you tried to escape I saw a better employment opportunity and took it. My compatriots are waiting in the command deck, they will escort you to the lockdown vault to retrieve your time drive. Once you're done here I plan on using our own time drive to find a better place to live, there's no telling what the Space Corps will do to a group of renegade GELF's after the Industrial Uprising"

Artemis laughed sheepishly. "Sorry"

Cass finished sabotaging security. "Alright, automatic systems are down..."

"ALERT: GRAVITY TETHERS OFFLINE. TECTONIC LOAD RELEASED. ALERT: TECTONIC LOAD ATTRACTED TO LOCAL GRAVITY WELL, IMPACT ALERT" the computer announced.

The asteroids being held in place near the station were pulled towards the station by the immense gravity well.

"Oh shit, get down!" Cass yelled.

The asteroid slammed into the station. Luckily, the station held together. However, it caused severe damage.

Gums helped Artemis and Cass up. "Shit, the gravity tethers must have been tied to some of the other systems....Artemis, where's Lindstrom?" Cass said.

Artemis turned and looked around.

Lindstrom appeared on a nearby TV monitor, tearing the collar off. He was in an elevator, likely heading to the tram station.

"Sorry I can't stick around Cassandra, I have a few contingency protocols to enact. Including dumping the contraband vault, and your damned time drive along with it"

Lindstrom tapped a button on the control pad built into his wrist.

"UNABLE TO COMPLY: AUTOMATIC SYSTEMS OFFLINE. PLEASE CONSULT A REPAIR TECHNICIAN"

Lindstrom sighed. "Or I can do it manually. I suggest you hop in an escape pod and figure out what to say to the Space Corps when they respond to our distress call"

"UNABLE TO COMPLY: AUTOMATIC..."

"SHUT UP! Or I can deploy the emergency beacon after I depart. Goodbye Artemis, Cassandra" the tv flickered and went off.

"LINDSTROM YOU COWARD!" Artemis yelled. Cass' console beeped, it was a call from a tram station.

"Hello?" she said.

"Cass? Thank gods, did you guys get security offline?" Jamie said.
"Yes, but they were tied to some other systems. We might have a few problems getting to the command decks. We need to beat Lindstrom there, he's going to eject the vault with the time drive and call the Space Corps for help"
"Alright, we'll get up there as soon as we can. But uh, we....we lost Katrina"

Cass shook her head and let out a pained sigh, "Fuck....fuck....fuck Lindstrom and fuck this whole place" she whispered.

Artemis paced back and forth, muttering angrily to himself.

"Look" Jamie said "We'll get up there and then we can work on getting out of here..."

"NO! We're going after Lindstrom!" Artemis yelled. "We can't let that bastard escape!"
"Damnit, we can't..." Cass objected.
"I let that bastard go once and look what happened! He needs to pay for what he's done Cass, I don't give a fuck if you all leave without me, one way or another Lindstrom is going down"

Jamie sighed. "We're not leaving you behind Artemis, I understand that you want to stop him but let us get there and then we can discuss a plan of action"

Artemis kicked the chair Lindstrom had been sitting in and yelled angrily.

"I'll send a tram to the station, hurry up" Cass said.

Artemis is adamant about stopping Lindstrom, he won't let anyone or anything get in his way, even if he stays behind.
A tram is on it's way to you guys, once you get to the saucer we can make a battle plan. The saucer is empty save for Artie, Cass and Gums.

The station computer is only working at a fraction of its capacity as a side effect of security being shut down, some systems will either be malfunctioning or offline. Also, the prison's gravity tethers (which held the asteroids and derelicts being stripped down in place near the station) are offline, as is the Asteroid Defense System, and all robotic staff (save for mechanoids and simulants, which are autonomous). The station will take a severe beating as a result, so there's going to be more and more damage as we move along.
