WWJD? [FPF]

Gunfire whizzed around my ears.
I glanced around the room, seemingly in slow motion, as my comrades scattered, taking cover behind whatever they could find.
Jaxx was down. EMP’d poor guy. His circuits could be fried, getting him looked at would be priority one once we’re out of this…
I fired off a few shots into the knees of some of the SWAT team members that had us cornered before leaning back in behind Williams’ shield. We were being overpowered, we had to do the exchange. She was shouting at me to do it, I switched the safety on and handed the gun to her as Khan tossed the vials to Cass who quickly administered them to Artie and Boyd and then it happened.
I felt the time drive vibrate in my pocket, and that was it…I was here..
Wherever it was, it was pitch black.
“Hello?” I yelled “Kitty? Phil? Cass?”
My voice echoed, but that was the only response I got.
“Solvay?” I fumbled for my pistol, and drew it from my hip, flicking on the light that was underslung to it’s barrel.
I shone the light around the room.
An empty casket.
A few pieces of leftover STCP equipment, and food rations which I quickly pocketed and a crumpled pile of robes.
“Well..” I said out loud to no-one in particular. “This explains a lot…”
This equipment was mine. The robes were mine.
I’d been here before. Must have been…400 years ago at least from my point of view, but just a few hours ago to the people who lived here...not that they knew that, I'd been in here what?…three days in here, after I’d completed my mission, trying to fix the recall device to take me back to my ship, the Hindsight, in orbit. I could still smell the scorched air where the teleporter had fired, sending me back to the ship and then on to my next job…
I’d had to fake my death, you know, to enough damage had been done by my even being here, I had to hide away to fix my equipment or it was only gonna get worse…
I pulled the robes on, the fitted a little looser without my nanosuit that I wore beneath it the last time…
I unslung the M16 from my back, brought here from 2013 and wedged it under the rock that sealed the cave entrance, and levered it to one side. The bright sunlight hurting my eyes for a few seconds until they re-adjusted. I stepped out, into the desert.
At least now I knew how the resurrection of Jesus Christ was pulled off….
