Robotnik's Lair

“Well done, plucky travellers” smiled Tregard. “You have reached The Boss. It is time to truly put your powers to the test.”
The Dwarfers exchanged various excited and worried glances.
“Welcome…" said Dungeon Master in hushed tones "... to Robotnik’s Lair!”

“Amen.”
The still kneeling Angel opened his eyes to see....
... Two Jades standing before him!
“Unexpected!” He gasped, before getting to his feet and hugging them, wrapping each in a wing.
“I am glad you are healed, precious sister!"
He thought about this for a moment.
"... s” he added.

"Well, come along !"
Treguard ushered the Dwarfers through the front door, along the flagstoned entrance hall, and into a massive chamber at the end.

The Dwarfers took in their surroundings.

There was a large pit over which hung several platforms, apparently suspended in mid air. They were just the right distance for the Dwarfers to jump between.

There were many dangerous looking spikes in the pit below.

Across the pit, in a massive, overly ornate, throne, sat an almost spherical man clad in a tight red top. One spindly black-trousered leg hung over the throne's arm. A bushy moustache lined the man's upper lip. It was Robotnik himself.

He threw his head back at the sight of the Dwarfers and laughed. "Ahahaha!"
Without another word he leapt into an equally round craft and flew across the room, swinging a sturdy looking chain and wrecking ball towards them.

"Good Science!" Declared the Ubermensch.
"Heavens above." Muttered The Angel.
"Raaargh!" Raged Jay-Hulk.
"Crkkk." Said Black Jade.
"I was expecting something more impressive." Claimed King Kong.
"Watch where you're waving that thing!" Complained the Iron Man, dodging, as the ball swung towards him.
"Duude, that's a sweet piece of candy-" began Shark Boy.
"I uh, I don't think that's a gobstopper, Jaxx" responded Mech Girl.

The 'gobstopper' wrecking ball smashed into ground's edge, below the gang. The floor began to crumble.

"To the first platform!" Ordered Plisken, taking the lead as Jay was currently swatting at the wrecking ball and in Hulk form.

The Dwarfers began their journey across the room.
