“Now then, I take it you’re here for the race?” Marylou enquired.
“Race? What race?” Artemis said, excited and caressing the go-kart.
Marylou studied his wobbly legs and frowned. “We’ll have to get you fixed up first. Here, eat this.”
She shoved something which looked like a Bassett’s Liquorice Allsort in his mouth. His legs almost instantly sprung back into shape, and working order.

“Why, I could kiss you!” He exclaimed and made to embrace the girl. “Eww! Cooties!” She cried, to further baby-Dwarfer laughter.

“Come on everyone,” she said, undeterred in her mission and wiping her face with a stripy sleeve, “I’ll show you where you can make your cars!”

“This could be a risk…” Alex said, serious for a moment.
“… But let’s do it! Come on Plisk!” He galloped over and grabbed Plisken’s arm, pulling him forward.

... Then he noticed the 'old man' didn’t have a beard any more and was as cute as a button.
He sat down on a candy rock and laughed till he cried.

Marylou rolled her eyes, impatient at the ridiculous new kids. It was like everything was fresh to them, like they hadn’t been children for over three million years or something.
She huffed a lock of hair out of her face and folded her arms.
"Have we quite finished?"
The others nodded, trying to be serious.

"... Babies."

Jaxx and Evelina sat up as Marylou egged them on to join her. Evelina said, "Come on Jaxx that sounds like fun." Jaxx rubbed his neck as he said, "Ummm ok Eve babe, but I totally don't know how to drive and stuff." It's ok Jaxx I'll teach you." Jaxx's eyes lit up in a big anime fashion as he said, "Really!" Evelina smiled as she replied, "Sure. I use to play a game like this when I was killing time between shifts. But it would be so cool to drive them for real." Jaxx nodded as he was excited. The two GELFs began laughing and jumping around like idiots as they were cheering on.

Marylou bonked Jaxx on the head and hurt her hand as she yelled, "OUCHY POO!" Jaxx stopped and turned around with a confused look on his face as he said, "Huh?" Marylou shook her sore hand as she said, "My goodness your head must be made of jawbreakers." Jaxx was confused as he felt his head and said, "Huh? Really? So is like my brain made of candy too?" Marylou laughed at Jaxx as she replied, "Your funny. I like you." Jaxx nervously rubbed his neck as he blushed and turned to see Evelina giving him a mean glare with her hands on her hips. Jaxx cowered before Evelina as he said, "Please don't kill me Eve babe." Evelina gave Jaxx a menacing stare and the smiled as she flicked his forehead with her fingers.

Jaxx pouted as he replied, "Your so mean Eve babe." Evelina giggled as Jaxx pouted and then said, "Just kidding Jaxx. Lets go make a cool ride." Jaxx perked up and replied, "SWEET Eve babe!" Jaxx and Evelina began skipping behind Marylou
