Mission Insanity

Someone offered Jay a chair, but he refused.
“From what I’m told” Jay said “You all went to a lot of trouble to find a cure for me. I would never have asked any of you to do this, yet, you still did. Even those of you I don’t know that well….” He glanced over individually to Jamie, Jaxx, Evelina, Artemis (who he didn’t know at ALL) and Jade as he said this.
“I owe you all more than I can ever repay…but one of us paid the ultimate price. As you all no doubt know by know, Cass has been taken into the custody of the STCP…the organisation that has dogged me…dogged us over and over…she could be anywhere, anywhen, and in any kind of danger…and I won’t rest until we’ve got her back…”
“I don’t want to ask any of you to do more for me than you already have. But, I need to…I can’t rescue her alone. I need your help…will you help me?”

Jaxx listened carefully to Jay’s words as he ate his grapes silently. After Jay’s speech Jaxx looked at Eve babe and smiled as he looked at Jay and said, “Jay dude I am sorry……….. I totally can’t help you with tech stuff or planning stuff or sciencey stuff, but………… if you like need some heavy muscle or something totally destroyed I am in bro. Jay replied, “Thanks Jaxx I am sure your talent for destruction will be needed.” Evelina spoke up, “I guess that means I am in as well since someone has to keep Jaxx out of trouble.” Jay smiled as he replied, “Thank you Evelina.”

(Several others spoke up on their participation in the upcoming mission)

After everyone spoke their mind and finished their breakfast, Jaxx and Evelina went back towards their quarters. Jaxx spoke up, “Hey Eve babe unless you totally need me for something, I was kinda hoping to get in as much training as possible before the heinous mission. Is that cool?” Evelina nodded as she said, “Sure Jaxx just don’t over do it ok?” Jaxx smiled his big goofy grin as he asked, “So what are you like gonna do to get ready Eve babe?” Evelina replied, “Well if you don’t mind I was going to pack our gear and learn more about your lab with Holly.” Jaxx nodded, “Sweet plan Eve babe. Maybe you can find some radical stuff to help us and all.” Evelina smiled, “Thanks Jaxx I was thinking the same thing.”

After Jaxx and Evelina parted ways Jaxx picked up a towel, some energy drinks and power bars before heading to his training room. Jaxx put his supplies in a corner of the room and then began to stretch out. After a good stretch, Jaxx pulled out his holowhips and began his Calamar training. It was obvious that his training has paid off when comparing it to his first day using the holowhips. His motions were much more fluid and it almost looked like a dance he was performing. Each lesson Jaxx strived to master was based on a Calamar’ movements (Giant squid with spider legs). The whips represented the tentacles, which allowed whip like movement above and underwater. Jaxx had the advantage of being able to clear his mind while practicing his training and only focused on his movements, which resulted on a quicker learning pace and less distractions. As Jaxx was training, Evelina made her way to his lab to pack some gear and explore.
