Eye Opener

Jaxx looked at Evelina and asked, "Whose Holly?"
Suddenly Jaxx was startled by a voice behind him saying, "You rang?" Jaxx looked around till he saw the floating head on the screen and said, "Whhhhooooaaaa dude. Your like a floating head dude." Holly looked at Jaxx oddly and said, "Wut happened to em?" Evelina smiled at Holly and answered, "Holly Jaxx lost his memory on the plant we were on. While we are mining can you show him around the ship and catch him up to speed on things?" Holly grinned and said, "Sure thing Miss Stone." Evelina looked at Jaxx and said, "Ok Jaxx if you want to talk to him again just call his name out loud." Jaxx smiled as he said, "Thanks Eve babe your the best." Evelina waved to Jaxx as she ran off to join the mining teams. Jaxx waved to Evelina as he walked back to the room he slept in to take a shower and look at his bandages.

Jaxx found the room he slept in and looked around it for a few minutes. Then Jaxx asked, “Hey Holly dude are you here?” Holly popped up on a monitor nearby, “Sup dude?” Jaxx was still amazed by the whole floating head on the screen as he asked, “Where can I wash up?” Holly answered, “Try the shower mate. I hear it works for well for that problem.” Jaxx looked at Holly confused as he said, “Sorry Holly dude but I am kinda like new to using machines and stuff.” Holly looked at Jaxx seriously then asked, “So you really have no clue what’s going on eh?”

Jaxx answered, “Naahhh. I’m totally like a fish outta water bro.” Holly smirked as he asked, “So you don’t remember owing me ten pounds do ya?” Jaxx looked confused as he answered, “Ten pounds of what?” Holly giggled at Jaxx as he said, “Don’t sweat it ole chap. Ole Holly will fix ya right up.” Holly guided Jaxx on how to use the showers, facilities and the basic devices found in the rooms. As Jaxx was showering and rinsing off the remaining dried blood he checked on his wounds and saw they were looking better but needed more time to heal. Then Jaxx cleaned his speedo and shirt in the shower and wrung them out before putting them back on after his shower.

Jaxx looked in a mirror and groomed his hair as he asked, “Hey Holly Dude where did I come from?” Holly thought for a second then answered, “I believe it was J Deck. There is a secret lab with a hidden door by a maintenance bay.” Jaxx asked, “Can you like show me how to get their bro?” Holly answered, “Sure why not. Oh by the way on the dresser is a bracelet you cun talk ta me wit. Pick it up and put it on so we can keep talking along the way.” Jaxx did as Holly instructed and headed out the door.

After Holly led Jaxx to his secret lab and showed him around, Jaxx began exploring it. Jaxx found his locker with all sorts of weapons and snacks in it. Then Jaxx asked, “Hey Holly dude, does this place like keep any info on me?” Holly responded, “Sure why are ya interested in a movie night?” Jaxx nodded, “Yeah dude that sounds good.” Holly responded, “Ok dude, grab a chair and we will start form the beginun.”

Jaxx and Holly watched several hours of video of Jaxx’s history. To speed things up Holly fast-forwarded through the boring stuff. Jaxx was both amazed and shocked by the monster he once was. When it was over Jaxx felt bad about the way he acted around the crew in the past. “What’s wrong dude, “asked Holly. Jaxx answered as he rubbed his neck, “Huh???? Oh sorry Holly dude I was just realizing what a jerk I was. I dunno want to be that guy again.” Holly nodded and said, “It’s a bit different when ya see it for ya self eh?” Jaxx nodded as he said, “Yeah bro. That dude was most heinous. I can like totally see why the crew is kinda harsh to me and stuff.”

Holly then asked, “So what are ya gonna do now dude?” Jaxx looked around and asked, “Hmmmmm……..Hey Holly dude does this lab have medicine for my kind here?” Holly thought for a minute and said, “As a matter of fact they do. See that mid sized silver box over there?” Jaxx looked and found the silver box as he responded, “Sure Holly dude.” Holly smiled as he said, “Well it’s a special box called a mini-stasis chamber. It keeps stuff super fresh so once ya open it you will find a box with shots of purple medicine. Just take one out and stab it into your arm then.” Jaxx retrieved the syringe from the stasis chamber and looked at it and asked, “What is this stuff?” Holly answered, “Well it’s a bit of a cocktail of steroids, vitamins, human and shark growth hormones and some serious pain killers. I don’t recommend taking more than one though. It might make ya a bit loopy.”

Jaxx hesitated then injected the syringe into his bad arm. Jaxx winced as the serum burned in his arm and quickly spread through out his body. Jaxx dropped to his knees and began sweating as the serum burned his body from the inside out. After a few minutes the pain slowly went away and Jaxx slowly stood up again as he took a deep breath. Jaxx looked at his wounded forearm and saw the wound was now sealed but still tender. “That is close enough for me man, “said Jaxx with a small smile. Then Jaxx looked around the lab and asked, “Hey Holly dude. Like what other cool stuff is in this pad?” Holly thought for a minute then said, “Well you got your research, your lab equipment, your Virtual Reality Training software, your weapons, your drugs and some dead Huzzards in your fridge.” Jaxx asked, “Huh?? You mean I have those lizards dudes in the fridge?” Holly responded, “Well you did have a big appetite for meat then.”

Jaxx made a yuk face and shuddered a bit then asked, “Wait dude did you say there are weapons in here?” Holly answered, “Well yeah. Before the accident you guys were getten ready for sum big mission. Ya got yourself a bit of variety of guns, knives, axes, and armor.” Jaxx said, “Hmmm…no guns. Franky said no guns.” Jaxx began inspecting all the lockers and some weird looking devices. Jaxx asked, “hey Holly dude what are these?” Holly responded, “Well I’ll be. Looks like ya got yourself two little nastys there. Them happen to he holowhips.” Jaxx looked at Holly confused, “A halowimp?” Holly smirked and said, “No dude they are laser whips that are non lethal but hurt like the dickens. Just push that button on the side to turn it on and swing it about.” Jaxx did as instructed and quickly popped himself in the mouth as he yelled, “OUCH!.” Holly shrugged and said, “I told ya they hurt. If ya want you can turn the dial by the on/off button to make it hurt less.”

Jaxx made the adjustment and then practiced some more. Jaxx smiled as he said, “Daddy likes. Now I can practice that move I was like totally having trouble with.” Then Jaxx turned off the holowhips and looked in the locker till he found the holster the holowhips came with. The holster went around the waist and held the two whips on the lower back. After Jaxx put his holster on he put the two holowhips in the holster. Then Jaxx asked, “Hey Holly Dude is there a place nearby by the place I am staying at that has some room to practice?” Holly answered, “Sure dude there is a tai chi room not to far and no ever uses it.” Jaxx smiled as he said, “Sweetness. Lets go there next.”

After Holly led Jaxx to the tia chi room Jaxx smiled as he approved. “This pad is stupendous Holly dude.” Holly answered, “No problem dude. The other crewmates don’t talk to me much these days. So it was nice to chat for a while.” Jaxx said, “No problemo Holly dude. You are most wise and awesome.” Holly smiled and then said, “Thanks dude, but I gotta go Mrs. Jones needs me. Bye.” After Holly left Jaxx stood in the middle of the room and pulled out the holowhips and began practicing his Calamar techniques with the whips for several hours.
