Breakfast Run

Evelina smiled at the sleeping Jaxx but decided that she needed to wake him up to get breakfast because by the sound of feet stomping past their door to were they were last night it sounded like breakfast. " Jaxx , Jaxx. Wake up. JAXX!" He jolted awake and looked round groggily. "Morning Eve babe, good night sleep? I had one weird dream." He shook his head, swung his legs over the edge of the bunk and got up. " what was your dream 'bout Jaxx? And if we want breakfast we should hurry along cause by the sound of it, they have already eaten most of it." Evelina smiled and carried on milling about the bunk room. "Ready?" Evelina headed for the rooms door and stepped out into the corridor.

Jaxx was a bit stiff as his wounds were a bit sore and his muscles were still stiff from not moving for a while. Jaxx tried to focus on breathing to overcome the pain as he slowly stood up all the way. Then Jaxx heard Evelina from the corridor, "Jaxx are you coming?" Jaxx took a deep breath and forced a smile as he answered, "Sure thing Eve babe." Jaxx forced himself to ignore the pain as walked out the corridor to see Evelina leaning on the wall with her arms crossed and a warm smile. Jaxx did his best to hide his pain was he walked up to her.

Evelina said, "So?" Jaxx looked at Evelina and said, "Huh?" Evelina responded, "You were telling me about your dream." Jaxx was a bit slow on the take as he replied "Oh ........oh yeah. Sorry Eve babe I totally got confused." Evelina smiled as she put his good arm around her shoulder and helped support him as they walked down the corridor. Jaxx asked, "Is it that obvious I am hurt?" Evelina smiled and replied, "Just a little but it gives me an excuse to this."

As the two walked down the corridor to whatever room had the smell of food in it, Jaxx told Evelina the basic parts of his dream he could remember. Evelina smiled and said, "Wow Jaxx that was a weird dream. Are they all like that?" Jaxx nodded and said, "Well sort of but usually I am at a surfing contest and I keep getting beat by this group of gnarly penguins who throw fish at me till I fall of my board." Evelina look at Jaxx and tried to hold in her laughter, but was unable to as she almost lost her balance. Jaxx held Evelina as best he could till she calmed down to catch her breath.

Jaxx felt better as he watched Evelina laugh. At that moment the pain was not so bad and he felt it was worth it just to see her happy. Evelina struggled to catch her breath as tears rolled down her eyes. "I'm so sorry Jaxx. I didn't mean to laugh at you. It's just that..." ,said Evelina. Jaxx smiled at her and said, "It's ok Eve babe. I don't mind." After Evelina calmed down they walked down to the room the smell of food was coming from.
