Game-crashers.

The crowd were going wild.
Humans.
HUMANS!
Most of the crowd were making this face :-D.
Humans, were one of the rarest creatures in the galaxy. An exotic beast from times gone by. Most of the intelligent races of the universe would never see one human in their entire lives, yet, here, tonight, in the stadium, there were TWO of them.
If they didn’t die tonight (which they would) maybe, thought the Haruk slavemaster, he could force them to breed.
Plisken and Alex sure wouldn’t be keen on that.
The crowd watched in anticipation as the two humans were led into the blood soaked arena, ready to fight…..
At various points among the crowd, hooded figures watched…

Earlier…

A gunshot rang out in the darkness. Followed by an eerie silence, broken only by the dripping of water.
<end snip>

“What the smeg was that?” Jay said, and jumping from the ladder that led from the surface, skipping the last few steps and splashing down in the sewer water, Efof following.
He rendezvoused with the others. “What was that noise?” He said “Wheres White Wolf?”
Dr Black shrugged. “He’s not back yet…but that sounded like a gunshot.”
“Yeah.” Said Phil, pointing at Jacky “You said the gun was out of ammo!”
“It IS!” said Jacky, sliding the clip from the chamber and showing him
“Ok…YOU said yours was out of ammo too!” Phil said, this time pointing at Jamie
“It IS”
“Are you sure?”
“No, you know what? I’ve been carrying a gun for ten years, assuming it was out of ammo, but never actually bloody checked. Are you a fucking moron?”
“Shut up!” snapped Jay. “Who cares whether our guns were loaded or not, none of them were fired, the noise came from over there!”
With that, a charred looking White Wolf emerged from the shadows, carrying the remains of a vastly drained pulse bomb, which had been so badly drained it had gone of with all the power of a Phil fart.
Well…not quite a Phil fart. White Wolf was walking.
“Smegs sake…” Jay said rubbing his temples, Katrina placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. “Did you find anything?” she asked
“Actually…” Jay said. “We did…”
What Jay and Efof had found, was that the manhole they had emerged from opened up inside a giant stadium.
Dotted around the stadium were posters with crude drawings depicting the upcoming gladiatorial matches that were due to take place, and tonights big event?
HUMANS VS DINOSAURS

Later.
Jay found it difficult to hear amongst the crowd. It wasn’t the best ‘reception’. He glanced at the device in his hand before placing it back against his ear, shrouded by the large hood that covered his head, and much of his face and looked across the arena to where the person he was talking to stood.
He was disappointed to tell the truth.
Phil had promised great things.
Before entering the stadium, in the hours before the main event began, he had told the assembled group of Dwarfers that he had figured out a way to get a ‘hi-tech, flawless, instant communications network’ set up even in this power-less environment.
He insisted that it would blow their minds.
Jacky and White Wolf, the groups other resident scientists were especially intrigued, at a total loss as to what Phil had achieved. (Both a little frustrated that Phil had figured out something that they hadn’t)
Needless to say, Jay was a little frustrated when Phil unveiled his masterpiece.
Two coconut halves connected by a long string.
It wasn’t even easy to keep the Coconut-phone’s string tight across the two halves of the arena. Jay and Phil faced each other across the stadium. Between them, Jaxx, Jade, Jamie, and Jacky (selected because Jay thought they all had awesome first initials) stood at various points, pulling on the string to tense it up as much as they could.
Jay and Phil watched as Alex and Plisken were led out into the arena.
“Now.”
Jay said
“What?” Phil replied, gesturing to Jade to pull the string a bit tighter.
“NOW!” Jay said, louder.
“Chow? No…no I just ate”
“SMEGS SAKE PHIL! NOW!”
“OH right!..yeah, NOW!!”
With that, the two men shed their cloaks, and each armed with a bow and quiver of arrows, set off several shots into the dinosaurs that surround Alex and Plisken…..
