The Cave of Dispair

Jaxx mouthed silently but not-so-subtly to Evelina “See? Hobo”.

Alex ignored this and peered into the nearby trees.
"I've been out of the area, where have you been? Didn't you see anything that could help us find them?"

He didn't share the shameful fact that, before Jaxx had spotted him, he'd been considering leaving his fellow Dwarfers to it, and heading off to start a new life with the dinosaurs.

Alex was clearly not in the mood to deal with anything stressful, but since Jaxx lost his memory and Evelina just met him, they didn't pick up on any hints Alex was giving. As Alex was drifting off and looking at the woods, Jaxx snapped him out of it. Jaxx said, "Bro you don't understand after I met the awesome Eve babe, these blue scary dudes came runnin down to the camp site. We tried to warn them as we ran to the lake to get away but they totally blew us off man. That was so uncool man. I'd totally be mad if they weren't in trouble already." Then Alex looked annoyed by Jaxx so Evelina cut Jaxx off and said, "Jaxx is right we were hiding underwater to avoid the blue monsters coming after us so we didn't see what happen to the rest of the crew." Jaxx nodded along with Evelina.

Alex said, "So the blue demons raided the camp while you both hid underwater? " Alex looked Eveline over for fish parts then said, "You don't look like a fish person how did you breath underwater that long?" Eveline smiled as she looked at Jaxx with a slight blush and said, "Jaxx fed me air while we hid in some water plants. Then a giant squid attacked the blue monsters so we could escape." Alex found the story very odd and said, "He fed you air huh? So why didn't the squid attack you both?" Eve smiled and said, "It turns out Jaxx made friends with the squid." Jaxx smiled and said, "Yeah bro his name is Franky and he is a most righteous mentor dude."

Alex was getting a headache from the conversation and said, "I really need a drink now." Eveline was a bit disappointed by Alex's lack of concern for his crew-mates as she said, "Look if your not gonna help can you at least tell us where they came from?" Alex raised an eyebrow at Eve and Jaxx who clearly had a death wish. Alex then pointed in the direction of the cave the blue demons came from and said, "Head that way till you find a cave. Then listen for the screams if you have a death wish." Jaxx said, "That is cold bro. Your gonna bale on your buds who are in wicked dire straits cause your too thirsty? Dude that is so weak." Eveline looked at Alex and shook her head as she said, "Come on Jaxx lets go. We don't need his help anyway."

Eveline grabbed Jaxx by the arm and dragged him off toward the direction of the caves as Alex sighed in the background. Eveline continued to drag Jaxx along as they searched for the cave. Jaxx looked at Eveline a few times till she said, "Jaxx is their something you want to ask me?" Jaxx muttered, "Well Eve I was kinda wonderin if you had a plan or sumthin if we run into the blue monsters again?"

Eve thought for a minute as she looked around then said, "Well I have this gun if I can get it to work and you......" Eve found a decent looking club and handed it to Jaxx as she said, "Use this club to hit them in the head with." Jaxx looked at the club as he took a few practice swings with the club. Evelina said, "See your a natural and with your big muscles you should be able to hurt them with that club real good." Jaxx looked at the smiling Eveline and took a deep breath as he said, "I trust you Eve babe but I.......
