The Whopping Hamster actually does something officer-like and suggests a course of action

The expansive hamster enthusiastically rubbed his paws together, "Heh, Survival on desolate planets are practically my specialty. Okay, we'll need someone to collect any stray dry wood along this shoreline here for making a fire later to help us keep warm by as it may get cold tonight, and if we're lucky, maybe cook any food we can scare up to eat. Alex, why don't you go do that? Cass, why don't you and Phi take a wide looping hike and check for some fresh water streams, I think your best bet would be more towards the hills over there before those mountains. And if you get lucky, you might even come across a cave that we could use for some shelter. Now, I'll take Candy and start checking out the local flora and fauna around here and see what's available on the menu. Let's all regroup back here by the forests edge just before high noon so we can confer with each other and rest during the second half of the day when this place will likely to be at its hottest during the day. And remember to stay sharp - we don't know if there is anything hostile in this place yet. Cass, perhaps you could give the others a short training session on how to make some simple hand to hand weapons from the materials we've got nearby, since Candy & I won't need it. If Jay and the others comes back, fill them in, alright?"

"Who put you in charge?" Came back Cass with a touch of rebelliousness.

"I'd like to think good 'ole survival did, sweetie. Plus, I was a real crab-cake of a Blue Dwarf Captain before Jay was." Remarks the mammoth hamster before stalking off into the underbrush followed by Candace.
