What Lurks Below

Jaxx swung toward Jay, snapping his powerful jaws at the spot where Jay stood seconds before he dived aside, rolling across the deck. Jay stood as Jaxx lumbered around to face him, when Jay spotted something.

Jaxx charged, and Jay waited, until the last minute when he leapt to one side, hitting the emergency release for the Starbug\\\'s rear cargo door.

The hatch opened, and Jaxx burst through them, out into the waters of the lake, where he quickly vanished from view.

\\\"He won\\\'t stay away forever\\\" Jay said turning back to face Cass. \\\"We need to find a way to restore him to normal...but first...IS EVERYONE OK?\\\"

\\\"Murgh,..\\\" Katrina groaned groggily, \\\"Nice landing flyboy...\\\"
\\\"Jolly rough touchdown..\\\" murmured Seymour
\\\"Burp\\\" said Phil.

\\\"Erm..\\\" Cass said \\\"We have another problem...\\\"
\\\"What?\\\" Jay asked, suddenly wondering why his feet were wet.

Jaxx fell a good 30 ft into the water from the ship. Jaxx quickly looked around and saw lots of sea life around. Instincts kicked in and Jaxx began eating the strange fish in the sea. Jaxx ate non stop as the fish tried to swim away. Suddenly a strange creature that looked like a lemur and a squid attacked Jaxx. The lemur-squid tried to squeeze Jaxx tightly but made the mistake of getting to close to Jaxx\'s mouth as he ate the lemur-squid with a ravenous hunger. Jaxx looked around to more food, but suddenly felt a huge pain in his gut. Jaxx curled up in a ball as his body began to change again.

Jaxx shook in tremendous pain as his body began to melt into a green slime. Eventually Jaxx looked like a blob of green slime floating in the water. Little by little the slime began to melt in the water till the original Jaxx was revealed from inside the slime. Jaxx slowly began to wake up with pain and blurry vision. It took Jaxx a few moments to get his bearings as he began to look around. Jaxx saw something odd in the water in the distance so he used his shark sense to get more info. Jaxx made a curious face as he swam over to the object deep under water.

The object was very far away and it took Jaxx a while to reach it. As Jaxx got closer he became more concerned as he realized it was a sunken ship. Jaxx quickly rushed to the ship and entered it hoping to find any crew mates that were in trouble. As he rushed into the ship Jaxx soon realized something was wrong. The crew on the ship looked like they had been dead for a very long time. Jaxx looked around and found no life signs of anyone. Then Jaxx realized he was in just a speedo. Jaxx muttered, \"Well I guess I need some clothes if I am gonna head for shore. After looking around Jaxx saw a nice red Hawaiian shirt. Jaxx put on the shirt and admired himself in the mirror. Jaxx proceeded to gather all the clothes, weapons, ammo, food, drinks, video games, smokes, life vests, life boats, flares, med kits and magazines as he could find and stuff them into a very large crate.

Jaxx examined the rest of the ship and saw the name of it was the \"USS Kepler.\" Jaxx thought to himself, \"Hmmm that might be important to the rest of the crew if I can find them.\" Then Jaxx flashed back to what happened on the Dwarf. Jaxx remembered his game acting weird and \"Goggles\" appeared in his game acting like a jerk then Jaxx remembered Goggles pistol whipped him and ran off. Then Jaxx remembered chasing after Goggles but getting covered in a green gas that made him sick. Jaxx got very upset and muttered, \"I don\'t know if Goggles is really stupid or has a death with, but either way I\'m gonna put him in a hurt locker.\" Jaxx gathered up the crate and exited the ship and began looking for land.

Jaxx swam long and far to get back to where he was before when he smelled human blood way ahead. Jaxx became very concerned again as he saw several other large sea creatures passing him up. Jaxx swam with a fury as he hauled the crate with him. Jaxx used his shark sense to see ahead only to confirm his worst fear that the crew was ahead on a small raft and about to be swarmed by the sea monsters. Jaxx made it a point to slash as many sea creatures as possible as he passed them by in hopes of chumming the water away from the crew.

Jaxx was tired and slightly hungry but he worked passed the pain as he continued to slaughter the other creatures heading for the crew. Jaxx was getting closer and closer till he saw the crew ahead. Many of them were dangling from the edge of the raft like bait for any sea creature. Jaxx was relieved when he had the crew in his sights. However, Jaxx realized his relief was quickly over as a large serpent barreled right past him. Jaxx then latched onto the middle of the serpent and held on for dear life.

Jaxx clearly saw the legs of the crew members trying to stay afloat by the raft and was consumed by rage as he began tearing thru the serpents scales with a blind fury. The crew members were struggling to paddle the small raft to shore unaware of the danger below them. Suddenly the huge serpent lunged out of the water to pounce on the floating crew. Jacky looked up and muttered, \"Oh Smeg!\" as he soiled himself. Just as the serpent\'s jaws were coming down on the crew a large metal crate attached to a chain swung from the middle of the serpents back and crushed the serpents head and knocked it away from the crew. The dead serpent fell into the water a mere 10 ft from the crew. The serpent then sank to the bottom of the sea. The water became still again as the crew tried to make it to shore before the serpent came back.

Suddenly the crew noticed the raft was moving a lot faster. It was almost like they were being pulled by something fast. After about 10 minutes the crew made it to shore and the raft stopped moving. The crew wasted no time getting out of the water. Just then Jay saw a large metal crate wash up to the shore. Jay yelled to the crew, \"Hurry up and help me get that crate. It may have supplies in it.\" The crew wasted no time dragging the heavy crate to shore. Just then Alex muttered, \"Is that a chain on the crate?\" Then he slowly began pulling the chain to shore. Bedge used his good arm to help Alex pull the chain out of the water to reveal the back of a man in a red Hawaiian shirt and speedo with a chain around his waste. After Alex turned the man around he realized it was a very worn out Jaxx with severe bruising on his ribs.

Jaxx moaned as bubbles came out of his neck gills. Cass and Jay finally got the crate open to reveal a crap load of supplies. The crew looked at Jaxx and at the crate. Then Cass spoke up, \"Where the smeg did he get this?\"
