The escape

After making sure the coast was clear Joe emerged from his hiding place and
backtracked along the corridors back to the hanger.
When he entered the hanger he saw that all hell had broken loose.
Panicking Gelfs were running in all directions, at first Joe couldn't tell
what the commotion was all about, then he saw it, a bloody great tank with
Penny Lloyd sitting behind one of the biggest guns Joe had ever seen, she
had a manic look of complete joy on her face, like a little girl who has
just been given her first 'My Little Pony'.
The tank was picking up speed now, heading for the hanger wall, Joe had only
one chance, he legged it across the hanger waving his arms and shouting,
"Hey, wait for me"
The tank came to an abrupt halt and Joe nearly ran straight into it he
jumped up, grabbed a small ladder on the side of the tank and hauled himself
up.
"Joe..." Joe heard Jay say from inside the cockpit "i'm..sorry!...I."
"Jay shut the hell up and drive!" Joe replied.
It was then that the boss managed climb onto the tank.
"You won't get away with this" said the boss.
"Jay, we've got company" Penny said.
Jay swerved the big tank sharply from side to side to throw the gelf off
balance and Joe pulled one of his Glue Grenades out of his pouch and stuffed
it down the front of the gelf's trousers.
There was a big sticky explosion and the gelf fell down, he was stuck to the
tank like a Garfield car toy, the type that sick on the windows and grin
innanely, except the gelf wasn't grinning, if looks could kill then Joe
would have just died the most horrible death imaginable.
"Looks like we got ourselves a souvenir guys" Joe said.
The hanger wall was aproaching fast.
"Penny...Now would be a good time to use that big smegging gun infront of
you" Jay said from inside the tank.
"I'm trying, but it's jammed" she replied.
"Why is it that guns always jam when you need them" Joe thought.
"In that case, Hold on, we're going through" shouted Jay.
There was an allmighty crash as the tank burst through the wall, rubble and
metal flying everywhere.
And just above the horizon Joe saw the Valkyrie. Things just might work out
afterall, they'd captured the leader of the Gelfs, and were all still in one
piece, but what about WhiteWolf and Major Harris.
