JMC_Blue_Dwarf] Re: Harris/White Wolf \'Addressing issues\'
Blue Dwarf
Yet still before the starbug took off
"So, unless your going to start trusting me and tell me what you know
about this computer named Jill, I WON'T put *my mission* in jeopardy!
Is that clear Mr. Harris?"
"Then you aren't a very good security officer then as no good
security officer trusts anyone! They may ally themselves with others
but in the end they all stand alone!" Harris hissed at the overgrown
hamster. "If your and Phil's plan in any way endangers the ship or
it's crew I will make you wish you had never been born!"
"Are you threatening me?" White Wolf commented.
"No, it's a promise!" Harris snarled. "And on a further note,
this 'Jill' computer was detected long before you had set on foot
onboard and as yet has to prove itself a threat! Now get aboard that
starbug before I really get pissed off!"
The overgrown hamster frowned, and replied back in the same stern
tone, he was using before - "Now that would make *you* the lousy
security officer here, Mr. Harris. Simply because a security officer
who can't keep his temper presents a potentially dangerous situation
which can get his fellow officers killed when their temper is lost.
And secondly, it's always been my experience that security Officers
*have to* trust their fellow security crewmen with their lives on a
daily basis, because *nobody* can do everything on their own. Not
even someone who's in a time loop and has seen everything. And those
that try to 'stand alone' you put it, either become *dead* real fast
or are insane paranoids destined for life in the rubber room. Don't
tell me your headed for the rubber room Mr. Harris, or I will
recommend to Commander Niples he take you off this mission pronto."
Harris's face twitched as he remembered his visits to the counselors,
and kept his mouth shut, then the huge hamster nods almost smiling,
and continues in a less stern tone.
"As for your 'promise' about my endangering the ship or the crew -
take note of the fact that *I* made the corrections to the time
machine that enabled Phil to save Lloyd. And about this Jill
computer, I don't care what your affiliation is with it. If it's a
sensitive matter concerning you and any other crewmembers, I'll do
what I can to help you and the other crewmembers. But, If you don't
want to be honest with me, I'm not entering that starbug - I don't
work with people that are either stupid, insane, or untrustworthy;
because that's not condusive to long life. And you can bank Niples
*will* want to why... Your choice - you can *start* trusting me and
tell me what you know about this computer named Jill and I'll do what
I can to help, Or I don't get on that starbug, and have to explain to
Niples why, and he may start asking you questions that are harder to
answer then mine. I think it would be best for all concerned, if you
come clean. Besides, I already know a helluva lot of secrets with
this time loop, I could be a real resource to you as an ally. And it
would be real stupid of you to throw all that away and because you
prefer to be my enemy..."
