Cassandra: With apologies in advance
Who: Cassandra
Where: A corridor
When: Immediately after Amber and Rosette spoke to captain Castillo
Tic tap tip tap tic tap tip...
Cassandra's clicking heels echoed around her as she hurried down the corridor, nervously glancing down at the schematics on her handheld terminal
...Still there, thank smeg!
Suppressing a thin, nervous smile, she slipped the terminal back into a jacket pocket and momentarily allowed her fingers to caress the other object nestled there within the pocket's recesses; her new toy: a series of cold metal links - a loop of fear and security
Finally unconstrained by the necessity of having to slow her pace in order to examine the terminal, Cass quickened her stride once more, the two Scyther's accompanying her falling silently in step, the brisk pace apparently posing no problems to them, even with the heavy weapons and armor they were equipped with
Where: medibay
Keto poked the electrode into Rufus' palm, forcing the newly reattached digit to involuntarily curl
"And relax again" he murmured, removing the electrode, allowing Rufus straighten his finger
He worked methodically; testing to ensure Rufus had full mobility in his finger
"Thanks for re-re-re -re-reattaching my finger" Rufus said
Keto, absorbed in his work, ignored him
"Once more" he muttered, prodding Rufus's palm with the electrode again
"I-I-I-I mean..." Rufus began...
Cass slapped the doors access entry panel and, flanked by the two Scyther's, stepped through into the medibay
"Doctor Keto" she smiled "Your work appears exemplary as usual"
Keto straightened, an irritated look on his face
"What is the meaning of this?" he snapped
"I'm sorry to interrupt" Cass soothed "But Captain Castillo has plans for you patient. Might I ask if you've finished with your post-operative tests?"
Keto's lip curled only fractionally before he regained mastery of his composure
"I see..." he spoke in a clipped voice "But while I appreciate that the Captain's orders must be obeyed, I'm afraid it won't be possible to release my patient for at least another seven hours until my tests are concluded, and the results are known"
Cassandra sighed
"Please don't be so gauche as to assume I'm as stupid as everyone else on this ship" she snapped "You know as well as I that Febuggure doesn't need the full spectrum of König tests, and I'd thank you for not playing for time on his behalf"
She pulled the metal circlet she was carrying out of her pocket, and handed it to one of her accompanying Scythers
"Put this around Febuggure's neck" she instructed
"W-w-w-w-wh..." Rufus started
"Now, wait just one minute!" Keto exploded, cutting over him "This is my patient..."
The protestations of both men, were cut short by the sound of the Scyther's powering their weapons up
"Now gentlemen, there's no need for any unpleasantness..." Cassandra soothed, before glancing up at the Scyther she had given the collar to
"Do it" she nodded towards Rufus
The huge cyborg advanced towards the doctor and his patient, gun trained upon them, as the other in turn moved around in a flanking manoeuvre, keeping his own weapon firmly trained in their direction
For a moment Cass wondered if one or the other of them were going to bolt, and that they would both have to be killed, but the hopelessness of the situation had apparently been fully appreciated by both of the men, and they stayed put
"W-w-w-w-what..." Rufus stammered, eyes widening in fear as the Scyther moved around behind him and snapped the metal collar around his neck
The circlet emitted an audible beep
"What's that thing around your neck?" Cassandra asked mildly
Rufus nodded mutely
"Nothing you need to worry about" Cass breezed "It's just insurance"
"In-i-i-i..?"
"Yep: In case your sister and LaChance decide to try anything during the meeting they've arranged tomorrow morning"
The Scyther behind Rufus poked him in the back with his gun and motioned towards the door
"Move" he growled
Rufus mutely obliged
"W-w-what will happen i-i-if they try anything with the c-captain?" he asked once they were outside, walking down the corridor
"Don't worry" Cass smiled, clapping him on his shoulder "You won't feel a thing, once the charges in the collar go off..."
"Charges!?" Rufus managed in a strangled sounding voice
"Yep" Cass turned to him and smiled coldly "I won't bother telling you about the exact design of the collar and all it's many failsafe systems and detonation triggers, because you're a smart guy after all, and I sure as hell wouldn't want you deducing a way of removing or disarming it without it killing you; suffice to say though: any tampering will kill you"
"Y-y-y-you animal" Rufus spat
"You don't even know the half of it sweetheart" Cass pulled her handheld terminal out and dialed up a few routines to mask their movements from ship security "C'mon sparky, let's go get you hidden some place nice and secure"

Yes, ok, I know, sorry; conflict and tension from someone who's not a mod, but Rufus is too valuable an asset for Castillo to have just running around; and with the impending meeting, a little extra leverage is always a good thing
For info: Rufus will be kept in a secure and secret location under constant guard (i.e. with a Scyther sat actually watching him, not just sitting outside the room), until after the meeting
Any attempts at poking or prodding the collar will result in an angry response from the Scyther - and no, the aforementioned Scyther won't be falling for any of the old escape ruses either - he's a professional, not an imbecile
