Thanks dude. You made it easy to stick around, but very tough to leave! Sorry to everyone if my last plot was a little self indulgent by the way!Sent from my iPhoneOn 14 Apr 2011, at 12:27, "Onion" <david@...> wrote:
Even know I knew this was coming it didn't make it any easier to read. Which I did with a tear in my eye. Andy, your last post was brilliantly written and was a great end to a great character.
I want to thank you Andy for being a great moderator on the Blue Dwarf, I think you've done more than your fair share of holding this community together, helping out members when they needed it, pushing the story along, and especially being the first to message the group when there's been a problem (you're always good at getting there before me!).
I really hope this isn't the last we see of you on the Blue Dwarf though, I hope once your life has got less hectic you'll be back!
Thanks for everything Andy, and good luck with your new family :-)

> Who: Jay and a mysterious assailantWhere: In the core of the Hymenoptera HiveWhen: Right after Efof was knocked out. ¬â âÃúIâÃôm afraid I canâÃôt let you do that Captain.âÃù Said Jay Chrysler. He stood over his target, who was still crouched on the ground next to the bomb and yanked the katana from the ¬â bombâÃôs casing, sparks following it.âÃúYouâöâÃù Jay said, looking up at EfofâÃôs attacker, âÃúButâöyouâÃôre deadâöyou HAVE TO BE DEAD!âÃùâÃúWell yes..âÃù replied Evil Jay, âÃúI was dead. Quite convincingly too, I have to hand it to you, crashing the Blue Dwarf into my flagship was a pretty good way of guaranteeing the job was done the first time around, more fool me for letting your dead wife do it a second timeâö.I had hoped youâÃôd been killed in the explosion too, but never mind, it just means I get to do it myself!âÃùâÃúHow can you be here?âÃù Jay asked, as he shuffled backwards across the floor.âÃúYou should know better than anyoneâÃù Evil
> Jay âÃúâösit still pleaseâöâÃù he kicked Jay in the face as Jay tried to shuffle away, knocking Jay flat on his back. âÃúI, or rather, the original âÃòmeâÃô was connected to the hive mind. After you killed me, my mind was left dormant within the hive âÃ" as you are no doubt aware I took over your body after you were connected to the hive and blew up the earth and all thatâöI really do wish you hadnâÃôt gone back in time and undone all my hard work, it was very frustrating..âÃùâÃúGet to the pointâÃù Jay replied, wiping blood from his nose.âÃúThe point is, even after you took back your body, I was still in the hive. So long as she existsâÃù he pointed to the Queen âÃúI will exist, all it took was a tiny piece of your DNA that we took from you when our agents infiltrated your ship and voila! A clone body is born!âÃùâÃúAnd now?âÃù Jay said âÃúYouâÃôre gonna lead the âÃòbugs to take over the galaxy again are you? Please, even if you kill me here, the rest
> of my crew wonâÃôt rest until youâÃôre stoppedâöhavenâÃôt you learned by now? The Blue Dwarf crew¬â NEVER¬â loseâö.âÃùâÃúPlease. TheyâÃôre only in this region of space because of you, the minute youâÃôre dead theyâÃôll all go back to their pathetic livesâöuntil theyâÃôre extinguished at least.âÃùHe raised his sword, and pointed it downward so that itâÃôs sharpened tip was pointed at JayâÃôs throat.âÃúI would love to prolong thisâö.âÃù Evil Jay said âÃúTo see you suffer as I kill you slowly and painfullyâöbut IâÃôm afraid I canâÃôt take any chances this time..youâÃôve proven yourself much too bothersome in the past.âÃùâÃúYou talk too muchâÃù Jay said as he threw a handful of sand, scooped off the chamber floor into Evil Jays eyes, momentarily blinding him, Jay jumped to his feet, kicking Evil Jay in the chest as he did so, making him drop his sword. Jay ran around his counterpart, and skidded to the ground near Efof, and started slapping him in the
> face âÃúEfof, come on man, wake up, weâÃôve gotta get outta hereâöâÃùOut of the corner of his eye he saw Evil Jay scoop to pick up his sword from the floor, so Jay grabbed one of the rifles Efof had dropped and aimed it at his duplicate, a clicking noise told him that heâÃôd picked up the rifle that Efof hadnâÃôt yet reloaded. He reached for the other one, but he was too late, and Evil JayâÃôs foot came smashing down on the back of JayâÃôs hand, before Jay had even had time to scream, Evil Jay grabbed him by the collar, lifted his foot from his hand and hurled Jay effortlessly across the room where he smashed into a rock and slumped to the ground.âÃúI really wish you hadnâÃôt done that!âÃù Evil Jay snarled âÃúNow my eyes are watering!âÃùJay groggily lifted himself off the ground and noticed something ahead, a thin membrane covered one of the ground-level tunnel entrances and Jay could just about see through it into what lie beyond. He mustered all his

He looked around quickly, trying to find something, anything, that he could use as a weapon. The room was filled with, mostly, Hymenoptera support craft, nothing that would be of any use âÃ" Amber was the only human whoâÃôd ever been able to fly Hymenoptera ships, but there was something different, Jay ducked under a Scorpion class fighter, and emerged the other side to see what it was. It was an Earth ship, resembling a Starbug, it had been modified with some Hymenopteran weaponry, but it was still unmistakeably an earth ship.âÃúOf course!âÃù thought Jay âÃúItâÃôs HIS personal shuttle! He thinkâÃôs heâÃôs better than bugs, heâÃôs too arrogant to use one of their ships!âÃùHe yanked opened a tools locker on the outside of the ship and grabbed the first thing he found, a plasma cutterâöit was better than nothing.Evil Jay burst through
> the membrane into the hangar. Jay quickly clambered onto the top of the Scorpion fighter heâÃôd scrambled under before and ran across the dorsal hull, leaping off the top of it and kicking out, landed on Evil Jay, sending him tumbling to the floor, Evil Jay dropped his sword again, but Jay also dropped his Plasma cutter in the impact, so now, straddling his doppelganger and pinning him to the ground, he grabbed him by the collar and smashed his head into the hard ground repeatedly, Evil Jay flailed around for a few seconds, but managed to get his bearings enough that he could deliver a blow to the side of JayâÃôs head, knocking him off him and sending the Captain rolling across the floor.Evil Jay got to his feet, but Jay was lucky enough to have landed near to the dropped Plasma cutter. He reached for it, only for it to be shot away from him as he stretched to reach it.He looked back over his shoulder, Evil Jay had grabbed EfofâÃôs other rifle and now
> held it one handed, aimed right at JayâÃôs forehead.âÃúThe gun is such a clumsy weapon..âÃù Evil Jay mused âÃúIt has no style,¬â no eleganceâö.I do loathe themâöbutâöwe need to to make the best of a bad situaâö.âÃù*THWOCK*Evil Jay slumped to the ground. Efof stood behind him, clutching the second rifle all four arms.âÃúEfofâöâÃù Jay said âÃúI never thought IâÃôd say this but youâÃôre my hero!âÃùJay struggled to his feet, and limped back through the membrane into the Queens chamber.âÃúWe came so close..âÃù he said to EfofâÃúIt canâÃôt be used?âÃù Efof askedâÃúThe timers bustedâöitâÃôd have to be detonated manuallyâöâöâÃùâÃúHopefully Rosette will get her bomb in placeâöâÃù Efof saidJay said nothing. He just stared at the bomb.âÃúCaptain?âÃùâÃúNo.âÃù Jay said âÃúNo, we canâÃôt leave this to âÃòhopeâÃô. We came here to do a job, and weâÃôre gonna do itâöâÃùâÃúCaptainâöwhat are youâöâÃùâÃúEfofâöthey took your world from you too, everything you

I donâÃôt think itâÃôs any secret that IâÃôve been struggling to find time to post in recent months, probably longer. Life is moving quickly, with it becoming harder and harder to fit everything that I want to do in, and in July, IâÃôll be becoming a father for the first time. As excited about this as I am, IâÃôm also extremely anxious, and I know that IâÃôm going to find it even harder to find time for Blue Dwarf, so it seems only fair that I leave. It was a very hard decision to make. IâÃôve been a member of Blue Dwarf now for over ten years, and have been a moderator for nearly all of that time. ItâÃôs been a huge part of my life, (IâÃôve been a member for almost a third of my life in fact) but it is simply time to move on. We see it often, where members leave without

Lets face it, he was never going to die peacefully in his jeepâöI mean sleep. ¬â ItâÃôs been great fun guys, and I want to thank each and everyone of you, and all past members for making it such a great experience. I wouldnâÃôt have been her for a decade if it wasnâÃôt for all of you. ¬â To Onion, Becca, Smandy, JHXMT, Chris Kentlea, Chris Harris, (and others IâÃôm sure) IâÃôve known you guys for years now, longer than many of the people I know in real life (including my wife) and even though IâÃôve never met any of you in the flesh, I truly value the friendships weâÃôve built over the years, ¬â I especially want to thank Onion, as without him there would never have been an opportunity for me to get to know any of you. ¬â This all said, I couldnâÃôt cut Blue Dwarf out of my life completely, I will remain on board as a
