Rufus sighed and looked at the remains of the holo-disk in his hands, he had been performing maintenance on the light bee belonging to Holo-Tara when the Hymenopterra attacked. One of the damaged sections was the holo-deck. His mothers holo-disk, already damaged by the war torn Small Ultramarine ones past didn't stand a chance. It cracked in two.
He sighed again.
The small aeroplane in the room started up on its circular journey around the room, cloud seeding above the hamster cages and started him out of his reverie. He got up and filed the light bee back into it's draw. As he turned around, he was, admittedly, surprised to see the Dale Winton-bot in front of him.
"Cash for gold?" It said, holding out it's hand, depositing a small white-gold bracelet at Rufus feet before walking to the junk pile in the corner and shuddering. There was a small, but violent explosion, that caused the end most hamsters to look up. An unusual occurrence, considering the lab they were in.
"What the smeg?" Rufus asked, to no one in particular.
His e-mail pinged.
"Rufus, what the hell is going on? I just tracked this robot to your lab, see attached video. I thought we had something, obviously I was mistaken..."
It was from Rosette.
Several things passed through the boy genius's mind at that point. One, damn, she really needs to get that scripting error sorted out. He made a mental note to teach her how to send e-mails properly next time he saw her if he was still alive after seeing her. Two, since when did they have something? Wasn't that just the Hymenopterra agent? Three, What the smegging smeg was going on?
It was then that he noticed the outstretched hand of the Winton-bot had crashed into the door of the time-fridge. There was a nice sized dent that would need beating out before it was useful again, but an idea dawned in Rufus mind. He typed furiously back to Rosette.
"I got it. Don't worry about it. Meet me in my lab as soon as you can and I'll tell you about it. Do you still know the codes or was that just the... Impostor that knew them?" He paused, thinking how to end the e-mail. He settled for the crude but friendly "Cheers, Rufus."
