Touring the Red Dwarf pt2

Only seconds later, the angry voice of General Sousa came over the ship's
tannoy. "All remaining Dolaroos, the Humans are in the Drive Room. I want you to
get there and kill them!"
"I think it's time for us to go!" Said Seymour. Everyone nodded.

Who: Jay, Seymour, Amber, Alota, Justin
Where: Red Dwarf, Sleeping quarters
Seymour took Alota's hand and everyone disappeared and appeared in someone's
sleeping quarters. Seymour was sat on a bunkbed, with Justin Pancake on top of
him. "Get off me!" he yelled until the engineer moved.
"Where are we?" Justin asked, getting up and looking around. There was a guitar,
a pot of mould, some robotic fish, and a foul smelling laundry basket.
"We're somewhere that Sousa's men won't look for us. Well done Alota!" Said the
Captain, and Alota grinned, and buried her head into her father's leg bashfully.
Outside the sleeping quarters a troop of Dolaroos walked past, and everyone
dived into a hiding place. After they were gone, Justin poled his head out of
the wardrobe. "Hey, this guy keeps his underpants on coat hangers!"
"What's wrong with that?" Seymour glared.
Rosette peered her head out of the door, and came back in. "I just heard one of
the Dolaroos on the radio. General Sousa is at the cadmium core itself,
apparently he can control the engines from there."
"Smeg!" Shouted Justin. "He can. And there's no way I can stop him."
"Well this has all been jolly good fun." Said Seymour. "But Alota and I really
should be going now..."
"No way." Said Jay. "Amber needs to take us down to the core so we can stop
Sousa."
Seymour hung his head. "Okay. One last time."
Alota grinned and swirled her fingers, making a wormhole that took them all
instantly to the Red Dwarf's cadmium core.

Where: Red Dwarf, Cadmium core
The heat was unbearable.
They appeared on a wire mesh bridge overlooking the Red Dwarf's cadmium core.
The bridge they were on was suspended by wire ropes reaching up into the ceiling
of this massive room. Through the mesh of the bridge they could see the core
below them, spinning and pulsing out so much energy that they could feel the
vibrations. Occasionally it would spit out a huge arc of electricity that
bounced off the walls.
"The geiger counter on my radiation suit is going mental." Said Justin.
Ahead of them, General Sousa stood at a bank of computer terminals. The science
officer Katerina Bartikovsky was telling him what to input, while a Dolaroo
soldier with a holowhip stood over her.
"Our plan is nearly completed." General Sousa's voice came over the tannoy. Up
ahead they could see him speaking into a microphone. "We will wipe out our
enemies the Kangaphins by crashing this ship into their homeworld! The explosion
and the cadmium radiation will destroy them all!"
"Smeg." Said Jay quietly. "We're under orders to save this ship. We have to stop
him."
Justin pointed to the cadmium core below them. "That shouldn't look like that.
It's still overloading from the explosion 10 years ago." An arc of electricity
reached up to the bridge in front of them, it would have killed anyone standing
there.
"This is far too dangerous." Said Seymour. "Alota and I are going home."
Alota shook her head. "Can't".
"What?"
"Can't daddy." She said, swirling her fingers did nothing.
"We must be too close to the core." Justin said.
"We have to do something, if we stand here too long we'll melt!" Said Rosette.
