All aboard the gravity train

Jay was lifted off his feet by a sudden surge of rushing air and found himself tumbling helplessly toward the gaping hangar bay doors. Thinking quickly, he reached out his right arm, and grabbed tightly to a support pillar.
Before he had time to blink, Rosette flew past him, and he grabbed her wrist as she did so, causing her to come to an abrupt stop that came close to dislocating both her and Jayâs shoulders.
Loose objects came soon after and Jay, and the dangling Rosette were pummelled by debris, stationery, tools and cargo. A large power tool smashed into Jay with almost enough force to cause him to let go, but he was quickly able to secure
his grip, just as some centre pages of a newspaper flew into his face, blocking his vision.
He shook his head rapidly, shaking loose the paper, and took a quick glance at page 3 as it vanished, then caught sight of a baby spinning through the air towards him.
âLaChance!â he yelled above the noise âHeads up!â
Rosette reacted quickly, and scooped up Alota with her free arm and held her close to her body.
Eventually, after what felt like an eternity, the emergency doors closed and Jay and Rosette released their grip on each others arms and relaxed.
But only for a second, as Jay and Rosette caught sight of Sousa as he grabbed Justin and Amber violently, and lead them off.
They each began to run after them, but were interrupted but a pitiful cry.

"Heeeeeellppppp!" Came the miserable cry of an Englishman.
Inside the wreckage of the destroyed Blue Midget, Seymour laid bleeding. He
pulled himself out of the Blue Midget's destroyed shell, which was split open
like an egg. In the wreckage above him hung one of the Dolaroo ships jet
engines. It dangled precariously above, held only by a thin wire which
eventually snapped, causing the three tonne object to fall onto his legs,
crushing them.
Seymour screamed. He was trapped, and he couldn't even see Alota.
"Heeeeeellppppp!" He cried again.

âSeymour!â Jay snapped âWhat the HELL are you doing here?â
âPlease!â Seymour replied âHelp me! And wheres Alota?â
âSheâs safe!â Rosette replied, holding up the radiation-suited baby. âBut she wonât be for long now that youâve brought her here!â
âWhat the hell were you thinking Niples!â Jay snapped again. âThis place is flooded with Cadmium II and youâve brought a BABY here!â
âThis is going in my report!â said the inspector, smugly, who had emerged from somewhere, scribbling on his pad with a pencil.
âScrew your report!â Jay seethed, and snatched the pencil and pad from the inspector and hurled both across the shuttlebay.
âWrite what the smeg you like, Iâve got a job to do here, and I intend to do it, now you can either help, or stop getting in my way and smeg off back to the Blue Dwarf.â
The inspector said nothing, and just stared over at where Jay had thrown his pencil, his bottom lip wobbling.
âErm, excuse me!â Seymour said impatiently âWould you mind awfully helping me out of here?!â
âTheres no way we can lift this!â Rosette said âIt weighs a tonne, is there something we can lever it with?â
âWould anyone really care if we left him here?â Jay asked.
âCaptain Chrysler!â Seymour squealed âYou wouldnât?â
Jay stared at Seymour for a second, tapping his foot, in thought.
âCaptain?â Rosette said, not certain if Jay was serious about his suggestion.
âRosette, hold onto somethingâ he finally said in response.
He came around behind Seymour and hooked one arm around his shoulders and grabbed onto one of the shuttle-bays landing lights that was fixed to the floor.
âHollyâ he said âSwitch off the gravity in this sectionâ
A noise was heard as the grav-generators shut down and the heavy load pinning Seymour down floated gracefully upwards, holding onto the landing light Jay pulled himself, and
Seymour effortlessly out from underneath it, and gave Holly the command to switch the gravity back on. The generators kicked back in, and the crashed shuttle debris crashed to the deck, safely away from anyones body parts.
âsoâ said Jay calmly. âIâm open to suggestionsâ¦.â
