Hallie Taylor Arrives On Blue Dwarf

When: about lunch time
Hallie had found herself transferred to `Blue Dwarf' quite against her will, she
felt that her services would of much more use back at the Academy, she cringed
to think of all the future space corp. crew members who wouldn't benefit from
her supervision. Health and safely was, in her opinion, an essential role in
corp.. All of these officers went gallivanted off, blowing things up and what
not, but did they bother to fill in the appropriate paper work afterwards? Did
the buggery! It was as if they didn't even care!
Hallie had kind of got the impression that the other teachers and assistants at
the Academy didn't like her very much, although she couldn't really see why,
jealousy she supposed. She had come to the conclusion (and rightly) that the
reason that she'd been transferred from the academy was not because "they felt
her skills would be of more use elsewhere" but that she was notoriously
unpopular.
Hallie peered around her in the bustling canteen, she hadn't been formally
introduced to any of the crew members yet, and, quite frankly, wasn't looking
forward to it. Having only been aboard five minutes she'd already noticed 16
violations, oh, no wait, 17! She hoped there would be someone else onboard who
shared her enthusiasm for regulations, not so much for companionship, more for
the hope that they would have a copy of the Colour Systemised Edition of Space
Corp Health And Safety that she could borrow, the driver of the shuttle that had
brought her here had thrown her copy into a nebular.
After a final and disdainful look around the canteen, Hallie left to inspect her
quarters, but not without stopping on her way to tell someone to tie their
shoelace properly.
