(Blue Dwarf) Frank Harris 'When things aren't going your way'
Blue Dwarf
Officers' break room
Harris came round after being slapped around the face by Bobo, the captain's pet rat. The animal itself wasn't that strong but giving the force it hit him with and with the very small area it was delivered with, it packed quite a punch.
Harris merely groaned having fallen asleep on his broken arm and now it was screaming bloody murder to his brain. He sat up and looked at the rat that was sitting watching him. The major eyed the rodent like he would a suspect as he was never sure what to make of the rat and he was sure that it was one of the smartest individuals aboard the Blue Dwarf.
Harris finally stood up and looked at the others, all asleep soundly and some snoring loudly. He looked at Smegg and seriously considered giving him a good kicking but he still had morals, not a lot of them mind, but he still had morals.
"Jill!" Harris snapped.
The deranged redheaded computer appeared on screen and snapped. "What do you want?!"
"Watch it missy or its' back in the watch for you!" Harris snarled. "Are you tracking those polywhatevers?"
"Yes, Darren, I am." Jill answered.
"How many are there?" Harris demanded.
"Four." Jill answered.
"Jill, when I asked you earlier you said there only three of those things!" Harris said harshly.
"There were." Jill told the Major. "Two were killed when one tried to suck your anger out and the other ended up down the Captain's bog."
Harris gave a look that clearly meant 'what a way to go', then said. "So these nasty sods are breeding like Van Threk said."
"It appears so, Dave." Jill answered.
"Ah, hell!" Harris moaned.
"I take it the phase 'the shit has hit the fan' applies here?" Jill asked.
"Hit, diced and hit the wall behind the fan." Harris commented. He looked down at the rat again and commented. "Why don't you and your rat buddies do us a favour and hunt down these little sods."
Bobo just crossed its' front legs across its' chest and then shook its' head. Now there was a sight you don't see every day.
"You still owe Bobo for dealing with the auto-destruct bomb when your brother invaded the ship." Jill explained to the Major.
"Oh, whoopee!" Harris commented. "Jill, relay the locations of the polythings to the security staff."
"Sorry Dexter." Jill started. "I can't."
"You lost them!" Harris snapped.
"Yes." Jill answered.
"There are times when you aren't worth the time and effort it took to make sure that you weren't deleted!" Harris snapped.
"Oh come on." Jill commented. "No one else would have talked to you while you were in jail."
"Jill!" Harris said harshly.
"Yes?" Jill commented.
"Find those polychangers, NOW!" Harris ordered.
Jill just gulped and disappeared off the screen.
Harris just muttered harshly to himself and then to find Jackson, maybe the newly promoted sergeant had something useful to report. He seriously pissed off and then he heard that hissing to the side of him.
"Ah, shit!" Harris muttered just before his annoyance was sucked out by the polymorph.
