Just as Joe Schweeble was about to enter engineering, a green gerbil
scurried past him, followed closely by Jacob Stone clutching his hand.
"Oh, Jacob, i'm sorry about the Garlic in the face, but i had to be sure"
Joe shouted after him, there was no reply.
Joe entered engineering, it was empty, Jacob had obviously been left to make
sure nothing went wrong, but now he was gone, and knowing Joe's luck
something was about to go wrong. He went round to where the robot had been
drilling when he fixed the engines and open a panel.
There were lots of circuits and wires held together by sellotape and
blue-tack but considering what he knew of the ship, that was probably how it
was meant to be.
Joe closed his left eye and looked again, nothing, the robot had actually it
seemed repaired it correctly. But then again Joe was no engineer. He left a
note for Jacob telling him that he should check it all very carefully and
then went to report to Major Harris.
He entered the security department and saw DJ standing on Major Harris'
desk.
"Joe Schweeble reporting for duty, si...Major" Joe said
