Rosette - "Can We Fix It?"
<snip>"Oh man, I had no idea it was so bad..." she said as she entered, still remembering the code to get in from when she stayed there a long time ago. Luckily, the most expensive parts of the room were still mostly intact, the grand Piano especially. She wandered over to it, and sat on the stool, running a finger along the ridge of the key-guard. She flicked the dust away, and lifted it, to see the still pristine keys below. Clicking her fingers, she began to play Mozarts fifth, hoping to get some inspiration for getting the room fixed up.</snip>With a sigh, she closed the piano, and turned to face the tip that was Seymour's Ambasadorial suite. She spun back around to face a communications terminal on the wall. This would normally be where Holly would appear when necessary, but now it was just blank, save for the standard Menu saved in chips throughout the ship. She punched up the communications relay chips, and dialed in the long range phone numbers that she could remember..."come on... still work... please still work" She said, keeping her fingers crossed. While it was ringing, she ran a hand through her hair, and tried to make it look as respectable as possible. The screen flickered to life as an ageing man stood in front of the camera. Rosette smiled as he almost dropped the phone."Rosette! Is that really you?" He asked, "We all thought you'd been killed in the fire!""No, It's ok uncle... I'm fine. I'm sorry I haven't called before, but I'm in a kind of predicament. Does my bank account still exist?" She asked."Why.. Yes, I think it does. We told them to keep it open until they had proof that you were in the fire." "Excellent." Rosette mused. After a short bit of catching up, she pressed the close button, and flicked a credit card from her pocket."Time to get to work." She said, with a grin. She first walked down to the security offices, with a look of determination and the will to prove herself showing like a beacon."Anyone here?" She called as she arrived. Seeing no one, she grinned even wider and looked through the computer systems. Without Holly around, there was no security on it at all, allowing her to change the access key on Seymours room with ease. "There we go. 7, 2, 8, 6. S, C, U, M." She laughed, "He'll never guess that one."----------------------------------------5 Hours Later----------------------------------------"No, no no!!" she called, marching over to a couple of men carrying a large table. "That needs to go right in the centre of this rug, the frosted glass is meant to refract the light and spread it around the room."The men looked confused about such a thing, but nevertheless did as they were told. It had been an easy fix up, the ships that carried the things had managed to get onboard with relative ease, considering Holly was still offline."Ok, we have got to speed it up, I have no idea when he will be back!" Rosette called to everyone that was working to clean, replace, fix and generally spruce. No one would've noticed what was going on, what with everyone hiding in the medi-bay trying to get Holly back."This is looking better than it was before..." Rosette mused from the door. Although the doilies that Seymour was so fond of looked hideous, they seemed to match the uprated furniture that she had bought for the place. A knock at the door behind her threw her from her reverie, and prompted her to open the door."Ahhh, perfect! Thankyou." she said, handing over a small wad of cash. "Seymour won't know what hit him." She said, walking through the madness to place the container on the table, next to a single wine glass."A 1942 bordeaux. Last of its kind. I hope he appreciates this..." She mumbled to herself as the finishing touches were made to the room.<Tag Seymour, when you get out of micky's head!> Windows Live Messenger: Celebrate 10 amazing years with free winks and emoticons.
