Efof, Lester, Dai - "Escaping the crush"
Posted byPosted: Apr 27, 2009, 6:15pm
Who: Efof, Lester, Dai and SNIDE
Where: Sherwood Forest
When: After escaping from Castle Boobage
Efof, Lester and Dai ran through the forest as fast as they could, but soon their panic has changed to relief, and the relief gave way to Efof annoyingly high-fiving everyone there multiple times (one for each hand).
"I can't believe that worked, that was awesome!" Said Efof, getting his breath back.
It wasn't too long before SNIDE came racing to them, with reports of the horrific pain he'd put Justin through. They all had a good laugh about that, and didn't share any sympathy for the man who was responsible for almost getting them killed.
"So what now?" Asked Efof.
"It might be a good idea to find the Captain. Regroup and then-" Lester started, but stopped when he felt the ground around him shaking.
"It's getting dark quickly isn't it?" Said Dai, looking around.
Efof looked up into the sky, a huge shadow was creeping across them all. A VERY huge shadow.
The Blue Dwarf hung in the air. It wasn't their Blue Dwarf, although they didn't know this yet. The shape was easily recognised, as it's such a simple geometric shape, but this was an angle they hasn't seen the Blue Dwarf in before. It looked wrong where it was, less than a mile away from them in the sky. It looked wrong mainly because the laws of physics don't really like to admit that a massively large and enormously heavy Dwarfstar ship will stay there for very long.
"Smeg!" Shouted Efof. "It's coming straight for us!"
"We're doomed!" Shouted the Welshman. "Wherever we run, it won't be far enough!"
Something blue blurred past him, and he realised it was Efof, running as fast as his legs could carry him, and all four arms pumping at the air like a steam engine.
"Run awayyyyy!!!" He was screaming.
The shadow above was getting darker by the minute as the gigantic ship blocked out all light. It was falling far too fast and Efof did wonder if he could make it out of the ship's path before it squashed him flat. It didn't even occur to Efof that even if the ship didn't crash directly on top of him, the resulting explosion and shockwave would still kill him outright.
Efof stopped for breath. He panted and hit behind a tree. It wouldn't provide him with any cover at all, but he could only hope.....
A noise caught his attention. It was a robotic chirp. Efof first checked his phone, he wondered who was texting him at a time like this, and also how much time did he have to write a reply? Then he noticed that the noise wasn't his phone at all, but SNIDE who was perched on a rock several metres away.
"Run SNIDE, run! That thing will crash on us any second!"
SNIDE chirped again and pointed his entire body in the direction of a cave cut into a craggy rockface, partially obscured by ivy.
"Well done SNIDE!" Efof said and ran over to the cave. The Blue Dwarf was so close now that Efof could feel the pressure of the air pounding down on him. If he were to look up he would see the Blue Dwarf's hull in extreme detail. There were only seconds left before a very large crash.
Efof peered in the cave. "Hello? I hope there's not a bear in there. I don't like bears."
"Efof, get inside you stupid smegger!" Said Dai, who came out of the cave and dragged him in, seconds before a several million tonne floating city crashed on top of them.
